It is an inside joke. Dave has other TopBuzz sites and has to write for the other sites as well. There is a Clippers site and a Trailblazers site with more to come. Dave probably writes less for the Lakers site because there is less need. This is the most active site by far with lots of contributors. So you actually see his work more often on the Clippers site for example.
