Time to give credit to some of the unsung heroes of this game:
Jordan Hill with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks off the bench. The Lakers lost nothing when Bynum was on the bench resting. The Derek Fisher trade is making Mitch Kupchak look more and more brilliant with every game Hill plays.
Blake was great in the 1st quarter and gave the team a major lift with his timely hot shooting.
Sessions had a VERY solid, but quiet 14 points on 6-11 shooting, with 5 assists. Nice stuff in his 1st playoff game as a Laker.
The good thing is Hill is better with the Nuggets bigs combine. he is pretty good for a backup though. |

That was w/ Pat Riley and PJax leading the charge. So can't put that much stock into that stat. But nonetheless a neat stat. |

Amazing team win.
I loved the hustle play by all the players. It was a surprise to hold a big lead.
Bynum was a beast, I like his swagger.
After watching almost all the POs series I like our chances. But still this is just one game, the team has to keep playing with this intensity.
Also a word to MWP, keep in shape cause with you we can be unbeatable. |

Drew's been impressive for the vast majority of the regular season, Tailspin, and he's opened up the playoffs continuing his impressive play. He impressed his way to a well deserved All-Star selection and he impressed his way into the discussion for status as the league's top center. I have little doubt that Bynum will continue to impress because that's what great players do. |

Amazing game by Drew. I commend him for his spectacular effort on Defense.
Note to Bynum fans who constantly complained about Bynum not getting enough touches: we dominated a good team in the playoffs with Bynum taking only 7 shots. We dominated by him getting 10 blocks not him scoring 50 points. Hopefully we stick to this game plan because it worked perfectly this game and it will bring us better success if we can continue this throughout the playoffs. If we can we have as good a chance as anyone to win the championship. If he goes back to wanting to score and pouts when he doesn't no way.
Also to all those who constantly complain about Pau being soft or whatever other Bull@hit. I hope you heard what Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Breen was saying during this broadcast: that is just not the kind of player Pau is. What he is is an amazingly skilled big man who is more versatile and brings more to the game than any brute big man can. |

I don't care if its Bynum, Kobe or any other Laker that helps us win a title. Winning is winning and that's all Lakers care about. |

You have to be kidding. Drew will be needed to be an offensive player this series and the next. He does need to score and he will. He does need the ball, and he will get it, and he will play defense. |

I read this at the ESPN game recap:
"The Lakers handed out white giveaway T-shirts reading "One at a Time," but in a Staples Center tradition, most of the crowd declined to wear them
THIS is what separates Staples Center Lakers fans from OKC fans............ I mean even HEAT fans ALL wore white shirts yesterday......it makes the arena look exciting, the intensity for the road time goes up with so many angry faces sporting their teams playoff tee......... IDK but sometimes I wish Staples would do this......... some might argue that OKC's arena looks like a college game with all the home crowd wearing the same color.....but I think it's cool.....
maybe this is just me.. |

| ^^ Yeah, fans can't be too short sighted and assume the Lakers will win a title if Bynum only averages 10 points and just focuses almost exclusively on defense. The Lakers won't beat the best teams in the league unless Bynum is more of an offensive threat. |

George Karl said Bynum played "illegal defense" when asked about his 10 blocked shots. Said only 1 illegal D was called.

| Bynum is just too good of an offensive player to be just a defensive player. next step for him is to do both, i trust him that he can do those things because he is a fast learner. |

It's Hollywood, JD24. What do you expect? |

^^ Yeah, fans can't be too short sighted and assume the Lakers will win a title if Bynum only averages 10 points and just focuses almost exclusively on defense. The Lakers won't beat the best teams in the league unless Bynum is more of an offensive threat.
I know, lol. He can and will bring whatever he needs to bring to win. He will score and he will play defense. We will need the dude to score, and score a lot. |
