Will the Lakers maintain the focus they had as a team in game #1? Will the Nuggets make major adjustments and compete harder in the 2nd game of the series? Will George Karl's whining about the Lakers supposed "illegal defense" impact the refs? We shall see.
Game #1 provided a solid base to build on and continue to improve in my own opinion. But it's no time to step backwards and particularly at the defensive end. Let's regain that tough defensive identity as a team.
Theme Alert! Bynum BEASTING on Defense! If that trend continues, there may be no limit to what this Lakers team can accomplish.

LOS ANGELES (AP) The Denver Nuggets still believe Andrew Bynum and the Lakers play illegal defense all the time.
The Nuggets also realize it's on them to make the 7-foot shot-blocker's job a whole lot tougher, or their playoff stay will be short.
"He's not going to shrink by tomorrow," Arron Afflalo said Monday before the Nuggets' practice[....]

| Defense was the theme and as long as the guys limit turnovers and get back on D, I'm expecting another easy double-digit win. |

As well our bench.
Can Blake sustain his accuracy from long range?
Will Barnes bounce back from his poor shooting in Game 1?
How will Jordan Hill play -- focused, or preoccupied with off-court issues? |

| We all know this is a game of adjustments so let's see what they come at us with tonight. Mike Brown has got have "HIS" A game ready also. ESPN radio's Colin Cowherd sai d this morning that he has to watch the Lakers tonight again because he may have been incorrect in his early predictions. Also some talkies have said the opposite about the Thunder, meaning they are not seeing the dominanace "so far".... |

Actually this series probably relies more on Bynum than any other player. Denver is the worst defensive team among all the playoff teams, so Kobe's offense isn't needed as much. Furthermore, they're a very one-dimensional team depending significantly on points in the paint, which Bynum is uniquely qualified to defend. Against a more complete & multifaceted team Bynum may not have as big a role, but he's perfect for the Nuggets. |

I hope to see another Triple-Double from Bynum, or break the Blocks record on PO.
We need our bench to perform.
Kobe needs to keep playing at his level.
Nobody mentions Pau, but he is so important as offensive key and passer.
GO LAKERS!!! |

| I bet Drew get's in foul trouble early due to Karl complaining about the "illegal defense". I hope to see Pau get a triple double with assists again, he can do it every game if he tried. |

I hopeing for at least a 10 point win but a win is a win. I am here in Memphis and the talk is still the meltdown against the Clippers. I am a Laker fan 1st and a Grizzlie fan second. That's how I roll.
Memphis hates that even after 10 years when the Lakers come to town still a lot of yellow jerseys |

I told my wife when the the score was 84-57 that the Clippers look like they don't even belong on the same court as the Grizzlies. Then shortly after that the colossal meltdown began. That had to be one of the most painful losses in NBA playoffs history. The sad thing is that it would have taken so little to prevent it from happening. That one may be hard to recover from. It was a very tough way to learn a lesson that you should never stop playing, and that every play counts.
I think the Clippers will miss Caron Butler a lot as the series goes on. Memphis is too good to just fold. We'll see how they react. |

Being that Kobe averaged 27+ points during the regular season, him scoring 30 should hardly be defined as "going off". Any elite scorer who takes as many shots as Kobe does is gonna score 30 a lot of nights. So it's more like Kobe is having an average or slightly above average game when he scores 30; particularly when he shoots mid to low 40% range from the field. When Kobe "goes off", it's gotta be more like 40 points or more. That's how I would define "goes off" where it concerns Kobe. |

| Oh, that's what you mean. Right. Unlike what someone previously alluded to, it doesn't get Bynum in any trouble if he's called for them. |

I get off work in the middle of the first quarter, and I am pumped for this game after what happened during the first game. How often did we see Laker blowouts during the regular season?
As for the game itself, I think Devin Ebanks will continue to improve throughout the playoffs much like Trevor Ariza did in the 09 playoffs. Reading the guys Twitter, both he and Hill are probably the hungriest guys, aside from Kobe, on our team. I think Jordan Hill will play better today to prove this accusation isn't getting to him.
I feel Bynum will continue to be a defensive beast, and he will score at least 20 tonight. Kobe will be Kobe, and Gasol will continue his good play.
Final Result will be another Laker win.
GO LAKERS!!!! |

The Lakers are chomping at the bits to knock out the Nuggets tonight. The Lakers have Kobe Bryant and everyone knows the Nuggets don't have a star player.
The Lakers bench has been great as of late with the emergence of Jordan Hill and Devin Ebanks is emerging as a good young player. Steve Blake has shot lights out recently.Matt Barnes is able to play and that is good news for the Lakers.
Mike Brown is coaching very good with his rotation he plays Ramon Sessions enough to make the other point guard work on defense.Good job Lakers. You gotta win. |

I'll man up to it, I thought illegal defense also meant fouls not being called when they should or something along the lines. |

| After we win this game, I expect us to sweep this series. Although, honestly, going 5 games, might be better for us, since that means MWP will only miss 1 game in the Thunder series. |

| We have to win this game. Don't want to give denver confidence and lose home court to them. We would be in trouble if we head into denver 1-1. Lets get that 2-0 lead and split in denver! |

It should not be a close game.....Denver will not win the series if they play half-court set offense....As long as the Lakers did not turn the ball over and shot a decent FG % the Nuggets cannot run and play transition offense as evident in Game 1....You will also notice that Nuggets always inbound the ball pretty quickly to move the ball down quick as if to see if they can get a mini-break kind of points....Lakers should be active....I like Gallinari's game though...giving us some matchup problem... |

anyone feeling it would be a close game, and the Black mamba or Bynumite will hit clutch shots to give us a win. oooohh, how i love the Lakers.
It should not be a close game.....Denver will not win the series if they play half-court set offense....As long as the Lakers did not turn the ball over and shot a decent FG % the Nuggets cannot run and play transition offense as evident in Game 1....You will also notice that Nuggets always inbound the ball pretty quickly to move the ball down quick as if to see if they can get a mini-break kind of points....Lakers should be active....I like Gallinari's game though...giving us some matchup problem...
agree. no close games and the fact that they can't play D we should win. blow them out send a message to the league that we are for real. |

| Hey Lakerdude, I have a feeling your boy Bynum is going to have a 20/10 game tonight. |
