Spanish superstar player and NBA Allstar Pau Gasol was traded to the Lakers for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, plus two first round draft picks. Pau's birthday is July 6th, 1980. Gasol stands 7 foot tall (213 cm) and weighs a solid 248 lbs. Pau is a very mobile power foward with long arms. He came into the league with the Memphis Grizzlies and won the Rookie of the Year award for 2001-2002. Gasol is quieting the critics who called him "soft" or gave him nicknames such as "Gasoft" with his strong post play, defense, and rebounding.
