JamFan - The rumor mill has actually intensified the last couple of days on which team is going to get the NBA's biggest prize, Kevin Garnett. KG had the highest efficiency rating last year of 33 EFF. Only Kupfaker could trade arguably one of the greatest, most dominant, players of all time, Shaq, and get so little for him, his team has been in complete retreat and surrender ever since. Then he embarks on a two year rebuilding plan so he misses out on all the best available free agents this off season. Oh, he did sign Aaron McKie, and we all know what an overwhelming contribution he has made. Is he still on the team?
The targets of his two year plan exploded on him, when Yao MIng and Amare Stoudemire signed extensions to stay with their existing teams. Lakers fans now wonder who the next target is. One rumor says that it's Lebron James, but nobody has any idea he would want to come to LA in 2 years. So Kupcakehead, could very well waste the next two years and end up empty handed.
Meanwhile, where is he if KG is traded to Golden State who is rumored to be making a bid, or....heaven forbid.....The Clippers. Both of those rosters have more pieces that could be packaged with first round draft choices to bring KG in. They have more to offer than the Lakers, that Minnesota might want. After Kobe, who do the Lakers have that Minnesota wants. Can you rebuild around Lamar?
So, while Laker GM Kupupchuck, snoozes, his plan of bringing in another franchise player in two years is fading into the Sunset. And one of the best players of the last decade could get traded maybe even to his cross town rival or up the freeway to the Bay Area.
If Yao, Amare, and KG are gone, and Lebron iffy, then who or what is Kupcreme's next failure? If somebody doesn't wake Kupbaby up he won't be the only one snoozing, it will be the fans. Except they will start snoozing at home. Better yet, it's time for GM Mitch Kupchuck to be fired. JamFan
