Today the Denver Nuggets and Philedelphia 76ers came to an agreement to ship 7 time all-star Allen Iverson to Denver. The Nuggets traded away aging PG Andre Miller and another aging player by the name of Joe Smith who they acquired earlier this year from Milwaukee in the Rueben Patterson trade.
Here is the trade breakdown:
PHILEDELPHIA:
Recieving---
Departing--- Allen Iverson, Ivan McFarlin
DENVER:
Recieving--- Allen Iverson, Ivan McFarlin
Departing---Andre Miller, Joe Smith, Two 2007 1st round picks
This gives Denver a projected starting line up of
PG- Allen Iverson
SG- JR Smith
SF- Carmelo Anthony
PF- Nene
C- Marcus Camby
This makes them a very deadly threat in the West. But you may not see this lineup until mid January when Melo and Smith are back from suspensions.
Here is Philly's projected Line
PG- Andre Miller
SG- Andre Igudala
SF- Kyle Korver
PF- Chris Weber
C- Samuel Dalembart
This makes the 6ers very deep at the 4 and five with Smith and hunter providing viable options off the bench. These two 2 1st roud picks also gives Philly a great chance of prticipating in the Greg Oden Sweepstakes.
This trade I feel helps Denver providing them with two 30pt+ options a night and also helps Philedelphia look towards the future and forget about the past.
