A couple of the Lakers youngins cut

The Lakers have announced that they have waived SG Von Wafer and released JR Pinnock from the team. Wafer who was the Lakers second round selection in 2005 did not get much time to play last season he only averaged 3pts and played in only about 50 games. As for Pinnock, the Lakers selected him with their second pick in the second round. The Lakers traded a future second round pick to Dallas for Pinnock. Pinnock was the star at George Washington but could not shine bright enough at training camp and in preseason. Devin Green an undrafted rookie freeagent from 2006 has made the final roster cut. These moves have cut the Lakers roster to 16. In case you are wondering, Aaron McKie also is on that 15 man roster. The new question is weather either of the two young guys will play for the Lakers D-League Team the Defenders. Please give me your thought.

The only thing I will ever remember Wafer for his is follow up dunk after a missed free throw by Luke Walton. Anyone see it?

With no more games to play in preseason, Aaron has already had two different injuries so far and can not play as we speak. You have to think that the reason we are at 16 with Devin Green still hanging in, is that they are trying to buy out Aaron's contract. I think they have to do it by Monday night only because Devin has to be cut by then. If they do not get it done and they cut Devin, and work out the contract buy out later, they could bring Devin back if he hasn't signed somewhere else. I like Devin a lot, but he definitely needs to work on spot up jumpers.
