George to sign with Mavs

The Los Angeles Lakers are getting close to losing a vital part to their triple Championship run. Devean George is close to signing a one year deal with the Dallas Mavericks for, get this, the veteran minimum of $1,2000,000. It seemed that the Lakers were not intrested in re-sigining George eversince the signed Vladimir Radmonivic. Now that the Lakers have no roster space it seems unlikely that Jim Jackson or Devean George will return. In my opinion I would have loved to sign a lock down defender like George for that much money. That would hardly affect the Lakers cap over the years. I am also suprised that Kupchak has not entertained sign in trade offers for George who you could package with Mihm and Sasha, should get you a quality player or players. If Dallas does sign George, is their anyone we would want of Dallas's roster. The only names that come to mind to me are Anthony Johnson or a double sign in trade like George for Van Horn. Tell me what you think. But in my opinion, sign George for the veteran mininmum!!!!!

George has also got intrest from Phoniex,New Jersey, and Cleveland. Dallas has now upped their offer to secure George. Devean has now been offered a one year 2,000,000 contract from the Dallas Mavericks

I don't think he is in the laker plans for the short and long term, and they have already replaced him with Radman (shooting) and Evans (defense) so I guess they aren't that sad to see him walk away for nothing. Now, if he wants a bigger contract than the 2M dallas is offering him, then the lakers can do a sign and trade. They said before that they were willing to help him get a better contract thru a sign and trade. I hope this is true so that we can at the very least, get a draft pick in return
