Do you agree with what the Lakers did?

 Now that it seems that the Lakers offseason hopes are over it is now time to discuss how you feel about what they did. I think they did good in the draft by aquring Jordan Farmar and Maurice Evans. I'm not exactly sure if JR Pinnock was worth a future Second round pick but with his play in the Summer League I have more hopes for him. Now to free agents, I like the signing of Vladimir Radmonivic it some ways. He will help us spread the floor and increase our shooting percentage, but their is a thing I don't like....His salary. Now with a 5 year deal it looks like the Lakers will not be signing another superstar. Another disadvantage to Radmonivic is that he is not a true Power Forward or Small Forward. I have a feeling he will play PF that way Lamar can play SF. This makes us strong at defense at the SF position but not so much PF. Vlad cant defend the Tim Ducans and Dwight Horward type players. Now to the other aquisition, Shammond Williams. Williams who played for six different teams while in the league before going overseas is a 6' 1" Point Guard who is not necasserily a good shooter or passer is now a part of the 07' squad. Like Phil Jackson always says "You dont need a true PG for the Triangle." I hope thats true! Me myself would have done a few things differently. I would have drafted Farmar and traded for Mo Evans but I would have traded the future second round pick to the Clippers for the 52nd pick to acquire Guillermo Diaz. I then would have tryed to acquire Rudy Gay since Houston traded him for almost nothing. I would also release Aaron McKie who did absoulutely nothing for us. That would give us 5 million more to work with. I would have made an offer to Jason Terry (doubt that would work) or sign Mike James. That would leave us with about 3mil to sign Nazr Mohammed or Toni Kucoc (sp?)

Good comments. Mckie should be waived. I new he was finished when Kupcake first signed him and wasted the money. The Lakers could have drafted Diaz with the pick right before the Clippers. They instead drafted an unknown that they traded for Mo Evans. Some ballers I talk to say Mo can bring it, but didn't get that much opportunity in Detroit. We should have at least traded for PG Banks. Better yet, with the glut of surplus players that we probably won't keep past this season, we should do a 3 for 1 trade for somebody even better. After everything is said and done, the Lakers still have the same question mark they had last season......Who is going to play PG at a championship level. Until we answer that.........No championship!

You are right. We could have just traded a future 2nd round pick to the Clippers instead of JR pinnck who proably wont make the team

well, i like what the lakers have done, SO FAR. trust me, they are not done yet. someone posted earlier this week about being easy on kupchak. lets wait and see what he's got up his sleeve, before we cast judgement.....and ah, let us join hands, and da rah ha, give a mighty shout, for our people, the lakers...can i get an AMEN!! can i get a kwame is free!! god is good!! gonna take ya ta chuch up in here...follow me out yonder to the three point line.....now, our ellustrious team, had a few, should i say, short comings in the playoffs....the Sun devil play the, rah ha, greatest sixth man, ever known to man! can i get a TIME OUT! up in here, up in here.....but we will not put our heads down and cry an oppressed song rather we will lift up our...heads (yeah).....throw up ourhands (yeah) and we will give out a mighty shout! (yeah) let out a joyful noise: GO LAKERS, all season long no matter what....and pray to god almighty.....i said we gonna pray to god almighty......that kupchak knows what he's doing with all these players!!!
i'm sure he does, he's got help: magic, phil, kobe and vlade. so lets wait and see what will happens before we talk mess.
