| This one really hurts. He was playing so great for us. Wow - this is more then gut-check time for the Lakers. Right when the hardest tests for us this season are coming up - we lose Andrew and Ariza. Wow. What a shame. But the Lakers have to get back to playing defense. That is what killed us in the Suns game and the close call in Seattle. Get back to the defense and we will still be alright. |

| The only way to improve defensively with the current roster is to move Kobe to the 3 and give JCritt and Farmar even more playing time. The kids are hungry for playing time and active on the defensive end. It is scary to think about defense at the 3 if Luke plays 40 plus minutes. |

Well, the more I think of it the better OC_Showtime's "Kobe at 3" looks. Kobe played the 3 of and on for years, he can do that. It brings Luke off the bench for him, and puts Sasha & Crittenton front and center at G, and of course Fish and Farmar holding the fort at PG.
I think we have to keep Lamar at PF, shifting him back to the F will put too much pressure on a very weak C position. Lamar and Turiaf at PF keeps us strong there; cross your fingers that Mbenga can back Kwame up. |
