| We can now officially retire the "Official Lamar Odom is Disappointing" thread. Many of you have been talking about how great LO has been playing on a thread about how bad he is. Is there anybody who still thinks LO stinks, or should be traded, or benched, or deported? He has had 21 double doubles in the last 25 games. Few plays are run for him. He plays without the ball. He stays out of Kobe's way. Yet, his numbers night in and night out are enormous. He is for Kobe what Scottie Pippen was for Michael Jordan. I have always liked Lamar Odom, even when he has struggled. He is a good guy. When he is interviewed, he even seems shy, won't look into the camera. He speaks softly buy carries a big stick. And he is beating the opposing team's brains out with it almost every night. When Pau came, instead of crawling into a shell, he just got better. He rose to the challenge. Go Lamar. You are the purple and gold. |

| Odom's the MAN!!!! the way he grabs the board's and moves without the ball is amazing! The key to Odom's and ultimately the Lakers sucess is BALL MOVEMENT!!! were going to kill the warriors tonight. 112-98 lakers |

| Couldn't agree more. I get so pissed when threads are created to bash our players. First it was Odom, and now all those people can shut the hell up. Now it's Luke Walton. The fans that are always looking for someone on our team to criticize are the ones that I am embarrassed to admit are fellow Laker fans. Support your team, don't pick and choose. |

LO has been great.
On the offensive side he has been looking like KG.
Sadly this is his last year as a Laker. I don´t see the lakers picking his 14 per year option.
I´d love to watch him stay, but I don´t see it happening.
Maybe he take a paycut. |

Lamar still has one year on his contract, i think the next year will br his last. Lamar is playing unbelievable basketball, with great confidence, playing his role, in Defence, and rebounding. Lamar is the man, he is now playing great every game, and playing with pasion. I love when players like him start having great games.
Go lamar, u will get a ring with the lakers!!! |

next offseason he´s gonna be an expiring contract. lakers won´t let him expire without getting something in return....
He looked impressive last night. I´d notice he has been hitting the mid range jumper. |

| Who is this guy that is wearing Odom's jersey? He is awesome!!! I am just kiddin' because we all knew he could play that way. We just did not know why he just disappeared. We did not want another Glove on our team. Now I think Odom is a Laker. He is not a Clipper anymore. If he plays like that in the playoffs, we will go undefeated. |

| I think his improvment is do to he not playing small forward ball, and playing more on the inside. |

Don´t know bout KG, even tough i think he is becoming one of the better position rebounder in the league. And he bring some things to the table that KG can´t do, like creat of the drible or his muth improved jump shot . But i think that KG has more intensity and is more srtong that lamar. But he fact that we are considering lamar in the KG league is very very good for him.
I love lamar, I love the way he is playing. GO LAKERS |

| He has been incredible. And given the label we give him as a guy who doesn't want the ball when it's all on the line, (or something like that,) he has stepped up big! 46 rebounds in the last three games is fantastic. |

Yeah I'm not for the whole player bashing thing, maybe if they have a really bad game then its not that bad. Anyways, Lamar has been a beast, hopefully he can keep it up when PG and AB get healthy. |

Lamar's been a serious force for us, especially in the absence of our bigs. He's stepped up in every single facet of his game, from scoring to defense to aggressiveness and especially in rebounding. He's a more aggressive scorer, a more tenacious low-post defender, and an absolute monster on the glass.
I don't know exactly when or how he finally managed to emerge from his shell. It could've been the arrival of Pau, which lifted a lot of the scoring load off of his shoulders. Or maybe it's a more personal issue like growing up out of the demons of his past (deaths in the family, drugs, etc.). Or maybe a combination of both or more factors. Either way, something clicked for Lamar after the All-Star break, and now he's playing his best basketball in recent years.
Now it's just a case of maintaining this high level of play for the rest of this season, into the playoffs and hopefully for the rest of his career. And I wouldn't be surprised if we end up getting 4 All-stars in the All-star game next year, one of them being Lamar. |
