| Even though I love it, it just doesn't feel right. I think its because I'm still worried about Bynum. |

i agree. as extatic as i was when i saw that we were first. it felt wierd and wrong in a way. we arent supposed to be top yet i just hope the Lakers keep playing this way, can keep winning without Bynum AND that his injury isnt bad.

| Standings ?? Who really cares! It is how a team finishes that counts. Right now with the injury plagued Lakers that we have, standings don't mean nothing. JMHO! |

I love the fact that the Lakers are ranked #1. I believe it is due to the amazing offensive numbers and by the very, very nice defensive numbers
i.e. - being 3rd best in rebounds, holding our opponents to a very low shooting percentage (43.8% - 4th in the league), a good number of steals for us (4th in the league), and a great differential between what we score per game and the opposition (3rd in the league at +6.55) - we're even 10th in the league in blocks!
This is all great stuff and blowing away an opponents like the New Orleans Hornets in their own house added to our recent dominance.
But, after this terrible injury to Andrew - I think we will see a decline in some of these categories. He was really getting better by the day and now we have to wait and see how this very deep Laker team responses. I think they will hold it together and the games will be closer, but the Lakers will sitill bring home victories. |

| people,, we should not worry so much.. bynum will come back soon and be ready for the playoffs,, when it really counts... and are u forgetting about.. the BENCH, that's exactly why there is a bench, we are REALLY REALLY DEEP in our bench,, it is envied by all teams... as long as our bench steps up and lamar steps up,, we should be able to remain in the top spot.. until drew comes back.. just wait and see,, kobe will make up for andrew's loss.. |

| That's not disapointing...atleast we are first in the NBA Power Rankings...now let's see what the Lakers team can do without Bynum...this will show just how valuable he is to this team... |

you are right, when Bynum in the game, he can't touch basketball so often, now without him, let see how lakers doing !! i know Kobe can score 50+ like last year, but i think Kobe is missing Bynum already ! |

kobe's going to have to carry the team. look for him to overtake lebron james in scoring for awhile...
i don't want him to have to. but i mean...offensively we've got kobe, fisher, farmar, turiaf? walton at times?
after watching this seattle game, i've completely given up on lamar odom. sure he's a decent FOURTH option (after kobe, drew, fisher). he can't even be the 3rd option for us (farmar and turiaf had to combine for that).
we need to figure out how to play without andrew, and a lot of it is going to lie with our backcourt (fisher, kobe, farmar). |

| They must have voted on that before the Seattle game. With AB, we are #1, without him, our first string looks like last years squad, no confidence, defering to Kobe at every turn. The only thing that will keep us in games now is the strength of our bench. If our first string goes back to playing like they did last year, I won't watch. Tonight was painful. And against the worst team in the NBA. Sad. |
