Larry Bird may want to rethink what he wants to do with his basketball team. The Indiana Pacers president said Tuesday afternoon they're talking to teams but he isn't sure they will tinker with the roster before the Feb..21 trade deadline.
Bird made those comments before the Pacers suffered their sixth loss in seven games when they fell to the Utah Jazz 111-89. The Pacers are a season-high four games under .500.
"Will we do anything? I don't know," Bird said. "Obviously teams are trying to strengthen what they have. We're not looking to get rid of any core players right now, but you never know."

| Did you see any of the Pacers and Lakers games, or any other Pacers game? O'Neal is not the same O'Neal from yesteryear, he's making 19 million and delivering 9 million dollar stats. This O'Neal fascination has got to stop at some point I hope. |

Yup he is basically a shell of his former self, but if the Pacers will lower their asking price for the fella, I would'nt mind having O'Neal in our line-up. I mean Bird should be reasonable, he knows that JO is not the same anymore, but he completely ignores reality and fantasy for this. |

| we should just wait for the offseason. cheaper pickups than trades, and now players are taking notice of the lakers. i'm sure we'll be able to attract at least one good free agent. |
