Why do we need Shaq? We have Andrew Bynum. We also definitely don't need an overpaid, injury prone, big man like Shaq. Don't get me wrong, Shaquille O'neal used to be the most dominant player in the game and he led our Lakers to 3 championships, but Shaq isn't what he used to be, sorry but we don't need him or his 40 million dollar contract.

If Shaw opts out of his contract, which is not possible, and we sign him for the veterans minimum, I'll do it so he can back up Bynumite....Other than that, there is no way I trade for him.

I wouldn't even trade our worst players for Shaq. To come close to 20 million, we'd have to send Kwame, Rad, and Mihm for Shaq. I rather keep our guys, and I'm not joking here. Shaq has another 2 years left, no team in the league wants that contract. That's cap suicide.

I think Pat Riley said that he won't trade Shaq...he wants his 14 points, 8 rebounds, & 2 blocks...Riley is very loyal to his players...especially the big name players...like Zo...plus, he was already here...and we got Bynum...

Yep, that what Riley said kb24, I think someone is adding a little extra to his comments. Anyway, no one will take on Shaq's contract! No On! Now if Shaq could void his contract, then I might even sign him for a vet's min. LOL

8 mil a year? Your kidding right? I'd have to think real hard to offer him a vet's min contract, anything over that is just overpaying for a guy who is clearly on the decline |
