| MSNBC: Though the Lakers seem to see there are possibilities, the word is they are trying to interest teams in Kwame Brown’s expiring contract to add a good piece. If the Lakers can do that, it could be very interesting come spring, and perhaps the most surprising ending to all that Bryant trade talk. |

If we can trade Kwame without giving up anyone else.I might go for it only if it is the right person.I dont know what we would get for him.Maybe we will get more info later. Then I would know if it is a good trade for us,because Kwame expiring contract will help us in the off seasone if we dont bring him back for alot less money. |

I am guessing that if we are to trade Kwame, we are trading him to a team in need of cap space.
Why not trade him to New York for David Lee and another piece?
Or to Miami for Udonis Haslem? (Miami is in trouble with Shaq's salary)
Hopefully, whoever we trade for will fit the Triangle well and should help us deep in the playoffs. |

| The Clippers season is done. EB and Livingston should be coming back about the trade deadline on 2/21. Kwame is at 9 Mil and Corey Maggette is at about 7.5 Mil. The Clips probably are looking at this season as a rebuild year so a trade here would make sense if you could get Corey to agree an extension because he can opt out next summer as well. Corey would love to be a Laker and bring his 20 pts per game, 6 rebs, 45% career shooting percentage, and 17.5 EFF over to the purple and gold. He makes a lot of points the Kobe way, he goes to the line a lot where he hits over 80%. Most importantly he does not break the bank. |

| I'd like to get David west from NOH, but NOH is playing good ball, so it's almost impossible. |

| I think a good trade would be Kwame and a pick for Samuel Dalembert. Philly will get even more extra space for next year's FA class and have a cheaper version of Dalembert. We get a guy who can actually get a double double and his a solid defender as well. He also has a decent mid-range shot unlike Kwame. |

What about Bynum? You obviously know that Dalembert makes over 10 mill per and has another 4 years left. Is he going to be a bench player? Or will you bench Bynum? Don't forget Bynum is eligable for an extention this summer.
I think we need more of a role player at the C spot to backup Bynum instead of a high priced center who's not even a star.
I would rather trade Odom and picks for a guy like Gasol or JO. We would keep both Bynum and Brown at the C, and the new guy at the PF. |

I would do that deal in a heartbeat, but what makes you think that New Jersey would give up Jefferson for Walton and Kwame. There is no way that, that deal would happen. If somehow Mitch could pull that off, he would and should be awarded the GM of the Year, since that would be the biggest steal ever. Sorry but that is a really unrealistic trade, but good try. |

Just because it works in NBA Live and on the trade machine doesn't mean it could happen in real life. That is one of the most unrealistic trade ideas I have ever seen. Put down the pipe and think of something else. |

he'll be an FA soon. no point in trading for him, only to have him drop his contract. for agent zero, we're just waiting for the offseason.
besides, i don't think we need him. i'm still waiting on JO. |

| Guys I wouldn't hold my breath on big name players like JO, Gasol, Kidd, Artest, etc... Next offseason is the soonest that we'll start hearing about them |

| I was against any trades until now. After watching the Lakers pretty close since the start of this season I do believe that the Lakers have some under achievers and need to trade them. Kwamme, Rad and possibly Shasha should be traded for Jermaine Oneal if possible. Rad and Sasha are the most unconsistant players I have ever seen. Rad had a couple of good games, and the same for Sasha, but that don't cut it. I believe I would rather play Coby Karl over Rad or Sasha, at least that kid can shoot and does give 100% on defense. Kwamme plus those other two should be good for Jermaine if the Lakers are suppose to make an impact in the playoffs. I think that the Celtics game conviced me of a trade more then anything else. Rad and Sasha were worthless. |

Trust me the only way that trade happens is if JO flat out refuses to play for Indy and targets LA has his trad destination, even then Bird might not trade him |

| So many of these suggested trades are so one sided. I am a huge Laker fan but I also understand that there are 2 sides to every trade. Every team's GM (except I guess McHale) are accountable to their team, owner and fans to make trades that will improve their team. Nobody wants other teams garbage or under achieving players. If we want a premier player then we have to give up quality players. That is why I think we will only be able to pull off a small time trade but those can really help us like the Ariza trade has. Folks lets look at both sides and come up with reasonably fair trade suggestions. |

| The Heat could use Kwame's expiring...they already have about $25 million coming off the books this offseason...with Kwame's expiring contract they would have $34 or $35 million in expiring contracts...that's enough to resign the players they want to and maybe get a big time free agent...maybe an Elton Brand...and all they have to do is trade Haslem and a filler for Kwame... |
