we don't need kidd, thats the problem with lakers, we try to fix what isn't broken, it was the same with kwame-butler:
Fan: "lets trade butler for kwame, who cares about butler, he's just a third option and he's never going to be an all star, on the other hand kwame is first round pick, the defensive Pf we need"
**a couple of years later, butler is an all star and kwame a bust**
same Fan: "the trade didn't work, we should have kept butler, lets blame the god awful FO, yeah lets whine and complain"
it was the same back then and will be the same now... |

| I never thought I wouldn't want Kidd on my team...but it's true...I don't want him on the Lakers...not for the price he is asking...and he will want a contract extension...I like the way this team is functioning...& if we don't get a title with Kidd, then that means that it was a waste...unless he tutors somebody like J-Crit, & he ends up being one of the best point guards of the future...but no...I like our line up & team the way it is now... |

| No Jason KIDD? You guys are trippin'...bringing in Kidd will push the LakeShow over the top. With a second all-star on our team we WILL have a better chance of beating teams with better point guards...such as Nash, D. Williams, C. Paul, B Davis, T Parker, and Portland's (red hot) Roy. When playoff time comes we will choke with our youngsters...Farmar is good and gettin' better but he is expandable...J Critt...is good but not great yet....so he is expandable...and Lamar Odom(I am a Odom hater)...he is too inconsistent...and will never be our next all-star, he is expandable. Kwame the clown has great defense but he is always injured, Kwame is expandable. I would rather have Kobe play with Kidd on the Lakers than any of the pipe dream players we have now. The season has started and we are off to a good start but playoff time is different. I'm tired of us losing in the first round...and I also believe we will lose in the second round this year with the line up we currently have. I want all of you to think...wouldnt it be better if we had kidd beacuse if we didnt I can see Kobe leaving the LakeShow. Kobe is the Lakers ...without Kobe, we will not be where we are at now (15-9). To make it simple, I disagree with many of you saying NO to Kidd! I would give Farmar or J Critt, Kwame, and Odom...make this deal happen MAGIC! |

| I'm fine with Kidd coming as long as Farmar stays. I'll give Critt. If Farmar goes, then oh well, but we still have Critt to be mentored by 2 of the best PG's to be mentored by. |

what makes you guys so certain that having Kidd here will convince Kobe to want to stay...
i just dont think it is that simple...if Kobe really wants to leave, i think that it is a much deeper "personal" issue with the Buss family. |

| If it guarantess Kobe doesn't opt out and it the trade doesn't include farmar or odom, i'm all for it. Jerry Buss needs to have a meeting with Kobe and ask him to make a commitment to stay with the team if he pulls the trigger on this deal. |

| We definetely don't need another point gaurd. Small forward and Power forward are where we should be looking. A power forward would be better though. Then we can put Lamar at SF and have Luke come off the bench for him. Ariza can come in for Kobe is Sasha's not hitting his shot....or he could come in for Lamar if we need more of a defensive presence. NO KIDD!!!!!!!! I'll tell you what though.....I would take someone else on the NETS........Richard Jefferson. SF....SOLID D.....Take pressure off Kobe offensively and allow Lamar to be more of a play maker and third option guy like he was in Miami with Wade and Curon. |

We're not getting RJ without giving up Odom |

| I know. It's just wishful thinking. We can't give up Odom. You can't get rid of your second best player. There is nobody in the league we could resonably get that would make us a whole lot better if we give up Lamar. We need to find a way to keep him and trade some of our other pieces. The best teams in the leauge have three studs on there team. Bynum is getting there......but he's not a stud yet. We need someone to pair with Kobe and Lamar for now. |

| I am alittle taken back by some of the responses I am hearing with regard to Jkidd. EK...I am feelin you. To use his words...some of us are trippin. To not want vet leadership like Jkidd is just not understanding what it takes to win a championship. If you remember when PJ came in..first thing he did was bring in old vets to stablize the youth. Jkidd is not only the sorely missed leader for this team...he can help elevate this team to the next level. Our current youth and inexperience will catch up to us in the playoffs with our current roster. I hear some good points about our chemistry and all, but as I showed you last week in the article from that guy who stated..Mihm, Kwame, and Sasha to make it happen for JKidd and Collins...I would do that in a heart beat..I would not trade KB, LO, Farmar, fish, or Byno for kidd. The other trade I would. Kidd is a proven winner, look what he did for team USA.. Between Fish, Kidd, and Farmar...we would be set for the now and future. |

hartman lie too many times, and honestly speaking.
i dont take any shizz from 1150 seriosuly now...
i finally realize that they just like to pump everyone up with rumors,
to get audience call in and have discussions...
all them are just loud mouths with no connection to the lakers... |

| I'm not totally againts Kidd. He's a great player and he would make any team he's on better. The only proble with him is that he doesn't provide the consistant scoring that we need. I agree with a lot of the poits you made showtime.....and I agree that I would not trade the same players you have chosen........He's great on D, and he'll get some easy open shots for some of our player.....but I just think we need someone who can put the ball in the basket himself better. The Fisher and Farmar duo is working.....and I don't see why it wouldn't in the playoffs. I would mind Kidd......but I would rather have someone who is able to drop 25pts and any given time so Kobe won't get double teamed as often and just in case Lamar decides to shoot half as much as he should and get losted like he does sometimes. |

| Boys remember when the Spurs actively recruited Kidd? The Spurs were willing to ship out the young Parker then, fortunately for them Kidd signed an extension with the Nets and Parker blossomed into a superstar. That my friends can be said about Farmar too. It will be a mistake if we trade Farmar cause he's the next Tony Parker! WE DON'T NEED J-KIDD! |

| If we get Kidd withou giving up Bynum, Odom or Farmar then i say do it. Everyone else is expendable. Sasha's value is quite high right now so that could be a leverage that the Lakers could use. But if Magic himself says that Kidd WILL be a Laker then i believe it. Magic is a great man and i respect his opinion and I honestly think he is telling the truth. |
