Now that Shaq's in the twilight of his career, and probably is gonna retire in a year or two, will the Lakers especially Dr. Buss retire his jersey? considering the manner they separated when he traded Shaq, Shaq badmouthing the Lakers, Dr. Buss and Kobe after the trade in 2005 : What's your inside on it? Very Happy

They should. It's not the Lakers tradition to forget those we spent good times with. Shaq helped greatly in the NBA's last threpeat.

I vote to retire his number. We had his greatest years -- and they were beyond great! He deserves the respect that retiring his number means.

Too bad Shaq and Kobe could not ride off into the sunset together. They were the greatest duo I ever saw. Period.

Yes! But maybe they should ask Shaq first. He might not approve of it. But Shaq was another Laker Great and his number should be retired where he won three championships.

With out a doubt!!! Shaq was the Lakers at one time. He was the captain of one of the greatest teams in recent history. The Lakers must retire his number to maintain a degree of professionalism and validity.
