Did you guys read the piece on espn.com about how the Lakers could get Kidd in a 3-4 team deal? I don't know how to post it on here or I would. Basically in the guys article the Lakers would only part with Rad and Crit to get get from their side. It was an interesting piece.
great to have u back ilovela. i hope everything is well. |

A trade I proposed before but tweaked a little. We give up 3 players and possibly picks+cash to get Kidd.
Miami-A move made to shake up the roster. Radmanovic and Vujacic bring them outside shooting which they sorely lack.
NJ-Get rid of an unhappy Kidd, get back two 9 mil exp K's in J-Will and Kwame to set them up for the 08 FA class. Haslem gives them the true PF that they need to go with RJ and Vince.
Lakers-We get Kidd without blowing the team up.
Kidd/Farmar/Crittenton
Bryant/Fisher/Karl
Odom/Walton/Ariza
Turiaf
Bynum/Mihm
Ariza can move to the 4 on occasion. Odom and Mihm will also share time at that position unless we sign a FA PF like Webber or Brown. If not than we can revert to the old starting lineup of Kidd, Bryant, Walton, Odom, and Bynum. |

Yeah we'll defintely need to patch up that PF position but Fish can play SG, he did in Utah remember? |

Yeah, but do you remember how well it turn out? Fish played out of position and it showed. It's best not to mess with the backcourt right now and for a long time. |

The Jazz did make it to the WCF, they obviously had no chance of beating SA though |

...And you're saying that they made it because Fish was playing shooting guard? lol But yeah I do see your point. Fish can definitely play the SG spot, although not nearly as well as point guard. But that's beside the point; the point being that trading for J-Kidd will leave our frontcourt very weak. So why not just trade Lamar for umm... oh say, a true PF?
I mean why leave poor Ronny out there all by himself? He needs help guarding the Duncans and KGs of the world. Lamar can't do it, and so can't Vlade or Mihm. And the Lakers need some good ol' inside scoring as well. I know a few players *cough*JermaineOrGasol*cough* who'd fit the bill for both. |

What are the chances of this actually happening LFW ? Do you guys think this trade idea originated from respectible sources? Because if this has then I would trade this deal without hesitation. |

| The only way I could be happy with a trade of this magnitde is to make it even bigger by bringing in RJ also who is rumored to be unhappy with NJ. We would have a bonafide finisher with RJ at the SF spot, Kidd at the 1 and Fish playing back up, but I know that's just wishful thinking right there. |

How about we do a Boston and add 2 franchise players on our team?
- Odom, Bynum, and a 1st pick to the Mavs for Dirk and Diop.
I think the Mavs would go for it especially if Dirk continues to show that he needs another superstar on his team to help him get to the elite status.
- Kwame, Farmar, Walton and a future pick for Jason Kidd.
That means we add 2 hungry, veteran superstars alongside Bryant to immediatly compete for a title.
Lakers lineup:
Kidd / Fisher / Critt
Bryant / Sasha
Ariza / Radmon
Nowitski / Turiaf
Diop / Mihm
Sick team, but fat chance of happening. Just curious if Laker fans would go for it? |

Again another fantasy trade that would never ever happen. Do either of you ever actully take the time to watch games, what with your heads in the clouds all the time?

There's a difference between a fantasy trade and a blockbuster trade. Radmonovic for Dirk is fantasy, but Odom, Bynum and a pick for Dirk and Diop is a blockbuster. Why is that a fantasy? Just because you assume Dirk won't get traded? Everyone is tradable in this league, go research it before you open your dumb mouth. |

Whats to research? The lakers have steadfastly refused to trade bynum and this was before he has shown this years drastic improvement, Cuban has stated many times Dirk is untradable (he wouldnt trade him for kobe for gods sake and now he will to get bynum?), and nobody wants our head case odom and his huge contract. Why would you have to research the obvious? It's just plain common sense.... ohhh that explains it... yet again.
