I knew I would get your attention. The bidding has began for one of the best PG's and a perenial top scorer in the NBA . The "little warrior" is leaving Philly probably for the western conference. So, of course, there is already speculation of where he will land. So some fans out there think its cool he becomes a Laker. Could you imagine AI and Kobe trying to find out who is going to shootthe ball next? On the other hand they might could combine to average 60 points a night. The only way a possible deal for AI gets off the ground is to start with Lamar's contract and a couple of expiring contracts like Aaron Mckie and Mihm. Then you if have to see what else has to be included to make the deal fly. They would ask for Bynum or Farmar and some picks. But these two guys do not make enough money to make this package balance out with AI's contract. So you guys are now the GM. Do you make the deal, and who do you include in the package?

i dont want him, he probably would be willing to take a lesser role but even that is too much still for me. iverson should go to minnesota and play with garnett, i think thats really the only team he could work well on. if youre minnesota and you land this deal it means garnett would stay there because, for once, that team would be making a good deal.

I hate to say this but NO. We don't have the nescarry cap as it is and espicially if we had a 30 mil a year backcourt. Wait for KG. Minny says Thanks but no thanks on this guy 2 so

yea i heard that on sportscenter today too, that minnesota doesnt want him. he is just too dang expensive and he demands the ball so he can jack up shots. do you guys think there is any team that would want him, be able to pay for him, and be willing to empty their team for one player?

Well I read the Hoopsworld article on trading AI to Memphis and I thin that is a GREAT idea. With a post presence in Pau Gasol and two young guys in Warrick and Gay this team would be explosive. If an opponents defense get side tracked with AI or Gasol than all you do is kick it out to Mike Miller who will bust the three, I think a combo of Eddie Jones, Danthay Jones,Chucky Atkins and some pick should get the deal done

Sorry i wouldnt do this deal at all. Iverson is a great player and all but him and kobe together would not work that well.....plus kobe is really starting to trust his teammates. why mess that up when iverson is going to be on the decline very soon. he have good young players that in a few years are going to be great. do you want to have instant sucess for a year or two...or would you rather it progress and have it for years to come.

ON yahoo sports it said the highest possibility are the Celtics and Mavs. The only good part about AI getting traded to the Mavs is that the West will almost surely win the All Star game.

Today it is being reported by the LA Daily News that Coach Jackson said before last nights game that he would not rule out a trade for Iverson and spoke highly of the perrenial all stars value. What I think that Coach sees is that teams would no longer be able to double Kobe, and also would not be able to double AI with both of them on the floor at the same time, making teams play straight up defense. That's a big problem for teams trying to stop the Lakers and those two 30 points shooters.

It's funny how after a 14-6 start...leading the pacific division, all this pecimism starts around this squad. We've got the same record as all these teams going on 10 and 12 game streaks and we're right there. Now all of you all of a sudden think we're going to fold and fall out of the picture because of a road trip. This is ridiculous. Their going to sweep this road trip and bring it back home and blow houston out at our building...mark my words!! Maybe then all this negativety will end!

were merely talking about the fact that this team has yet to go on a road trip...even jackson has stated that you dont know how good a team is until you get them out on the road.

i guess we will find out in the next ten games...
if they can get 6-4 or better during the stretch (i think 8 on the road and 2 at home), i think we can say this team is for real,, |

It appears the Kings are frontrunners. They want to trade Bibby and his expiring $12 mil contract to Philly for Iverson's $18mil contract. Sac will have to add some players, as the traded salaries have to be within 125% of each other. Another current big rumor is Orlando wants to send Grant Hill's expiring contract to Philly.

Bring Iverson on home. Not for the fact that he is just a scorer... but the fact that the Lakers need a true veteran point guard. This would be great.. but I would hate to see Lamar go.. if he had to. It would be even better if it could be Kobe, Lamar and lastely.. yes.. Iverson... What a trio. As mentioned above.. he would relieve Kobe from all of double teams that he meets and it would open the floor up a lot more. I, myself, hate Iverson... but.. this would greatly help the team and having a lot more open shots and better guard D...If you havn't noticed.. when the Lakers lose... they get spanked by the opposing teams guards.. If you bring Iverson to TinselTown.. this wouldn't happen... but I would rather have Kobe and Lamar than Kobe and Iverson... but.. if worked out. .and have all 3 stars... DUH!!... LAND AI!
