| This morning on the Dan Patrick show....he made a comment that his sources have indicated to him, that Lebronze James will opt out of his contract first chance and will sign with the lakers. Patricks says his sources are as real as they come. You can probably podcast the show for more details...Reggie Miller, stated that KB needed to shutup and be happy that he his a laker...I threw in the shutup..his word was settle down... |

| LeBron's opt out is in 2010. I'm not a big fan of LBJ but I respect his game. He is the kind of guy that takes loyalty over money. If LeBron can put aside the mistakes our FO has made and suit up with Kobe in the Lakeshow then we'll be championship favorites for sure. LeBron will be the Pippen to Kobe's MJ. Guys like Lamar and Luke though, I cannot say for sure where they will end up-wheather it be with the Lakers or somewhere else. |

| Wow, LBJ23 and KB24 together. That would be the best dynamic duo. |

Logic dictates that King James must wind up in either L.A., N.Y. or Boston -- the three sgtoried NBA franchises. Anything less would be beneath the King.
So, scratch Boston -- they are set for the next four years with their Big Three. The Knicks could be a viable option, if they get rid of Isiah. But the Lakers are perfect. Big stage, big money, bigger winning tradition than the Knicks.
I would bet money that LeBron is a Laker in 2010. Or sooner.
Go Lakers. |

he seems to have the loyalty that garnett showed in minnesota. i think the cavs are going to continue to work on getting some talent around lebron. he's still young so they have time to rebuild around him. |

Okay here is a statement that dc8five wanted me to post. This is him:
Quote:
"i'm listening to the podcast right now (the part about bron & the lakers is around minute 23 of hour 2 of his 3 hour show on nov 12, 2007) and while he does mention lebron going to the lakers, it is more of a hypothetical: what if the lakers don't trade kobe and if they can't work things out, let him walk in 2 years and then try and bring lebron to the lakers in 2010 when he can opt out of his contract, using a 23 year old bynum as a reason to come play here. i haven't heard anything about a source or anything, althoug he cites reading an article in the LA Daily News that he describes as an article as a "hypothetical thing that makes you think a little"."

This is one of those stories that I think has been created to have something to talk about on sports radio. Made up or not, it is an intriguing story. It's one of those stories that has great points on both sides.
I find it hard to believe that LeBron would leave his hometown Cavs. He does appear to have the loyalty factor, that will make it hard for him to leave. His family is there, his friends are there, and he played his high school ball there. If I was in his shoes, it would be hard for me to leave that.
On the other hand, it's hard to turn down playing for the GREATEST NBA team of all time. If Kobe is here or not, that would be hard to turn down. If Kobe is here, he gets to play with the greatest player in the L. If he's not, he gets to be the leader of the team. You get to play in a great town, live on the beach, and play on a team with a wonderful history. I'm sure there are some cash compensations from Nike, Gatorade, etc. to play in a big market team.
While I'm still leaning towards this not happening, it's always nice to dream a little.... |

| Yeah this means that Kobe won't be with us when we sign LBJ, unless we bring in another star so Kobe stays, and we get LBJ as well! Imagine if we had gotten KG. In 2010, Kobe, LBJ, and KG. e still have a chance for JO, lets do it so we can keep Kobe and get LBJ. |

I would love to see a big 3 of KB24, JO, and LBJ. It is a good imagination, but it is virtually impossible, but if it did happen, there wouldn't be a team in the league that can beat that three-headed monster. |

Don't forget Bynum and Farmar at the 5 and 1 |

Yup, by that time Bynum will be a beast and Farmar will be a very good point guard. Also, we would have a great 6th man in Turiaf. |
