The Lakers have made more overtures about acquiring Jason Kidd, but the Nets weren't interested in the offer, according to the New York Post.
The Lakers reportedly offered Kwame Brown and his expiring $9 million contract, Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujacic, Chris Mihm and a No. 1 draft pick.
The Lakers weren't willing to make Lamar Odom part of the deal, just as they wouldn't give up Andrew Bynum when the Lakers tried to acquire Kidd last season.
The Nuggets, reportedly offering Marcus Camby and draft picks, are considered the front-runners if Kidd is dealt.

not that we should be talking about the nuggets here, but I couldnt imagine that making much sense to get kidd there when they already have AI. giving up their biggest body on the boards i dont think would make much sense even though kidd grabs a lot of rebounds.

The reason why the nuggets would want Kidd is because it would take pressure off of AI to be a point guard. AI's at his best when he's off of the ball and having plays run for him. It's difficult for him to do that when he has to be the point guard of the team at the same time. If they got Kidd, it would allow AI a lot more freedom to score, which is what he's best at.

Kidd is gonna hate it if he goes to Denver...he might not say it, but he will...he will have to good wing players like he did with the Nets...but the difference is that he will have Martin again...but Martin in injury prone so it doesn't really matter...the only place that's good for Kidd is, LA...Lakers, not Clippers...

I would love Kidd to move on to another team and eliminate trade talks for the people who still want Kidd on the Lakers. We do not need Kidd. Frankly, we do not need really anybody at the minute. As the trade deadline approaches, more reasonable offers are going to take place and that is where we should find that last piece to the puzzle. For now let this team stay where it is and CONTINUE searching for a weak point in this roster. All I really want to happen soon is Kwame Brown leaving the team and saving us 9m.

a kidd iverson tandem sounds scary to me. Denver is getting the job done and they would only get better with a facilitator that George Karl needs to run his offense. They really miss Miller but won't admit it.
I would propel the Nuggets to a top 3 seed if this happens. Better than Phoenix and Dallas. Right there with us and the Spurs. |
