Alex Kennedy‏@AlexKennedyNBA

The Los Angeles Lakers worked out several draft prospects last week including guards Tu Holloway, Marcus Denmon and Charlie Westbrook.

Alex Kennedy‏@AlexKennedyNBA

The Los Angeles Lakers only have one pick in the 2012 NBA Draft (#60), but it sounds like they want to acquire another second-round pick.

Yes, who needs 1st round picks when you can get 2nd round picks?

This draft is deep, but I don't think they will be able to attain a first round pick this year. I think they screwed themselves letting our two first round pick go. I think they are looking at a point guard or a small forward. We are going to regret not getting Tony Wroten- Player Comparison: Iman Shumpert/Tyreke Evans , Marquis Teague- NBA Comparison: Steve Francis
or a small forward like Quincy Miller, he can turn out to be Austin Daye or poor mans Kevin Durant. If the lakers are looking for a second round pick in Kim English.

They actually preferred 3rd round picks, but since there's no longer such a thing, they'll just have to settle for 2nd rounders. Wink And of course if another Isaiah Thomas type player is available at the end of the 2nd round like they passed on last year, they will pick another international player who will likely never set foot in the U.S. instead. Gotta always keep those costs down you know.

I hope the Lakers beat the odds and get an awesome draft pick so Mike Brown can play him limited minutes early in the season where he flourishes and then indefinitely glue his @ss to the bench once the slightest hint of the playoffs is in the air.

*Cough Goudelock cough*

I think that we should sell our 60th pick and go after players that do not make the draft.

I am hoping and praying the Lakers can somehow trade some players and get Terrence Ross in the first round.I started watching Lakers basketball in 1995 because of Eddie Jones and this kid plays just like Eddie Jones.

Oh well wishful thinking on my part. But i do think the Lakers could use a great back up for Kobe Bryant and MWP.

i want all this over with already, seems it may not be in the cards for the Lakeshow as champions and if that holds true, I am rooting for San Antonio...class organization...until then, start thinking about this team how to make it better with no money! Wow. Not seeming too likely......Thanks Dammit Stern!

is Deron Williams still a longshot. Is Dwight Howard? I wonder how some fans feel about this team right now. Gasol has gots to go. His soft play hurts us in so many ways. If we could get a bruiser and finisher at the 4 spot like Chris Wilcox in his prime or Reggie Evans. Right now though, Hill shows potential. We need a first rounder or two great players for pau

The Lakers definitely need to dump Pau and these bum's on the bench off the books and re-up with a young and athletic line-up. Austin Rivers is a pipe dream, calling up the logo at Golden State for Klay Thompson is another. We can only hope we can get some new workhorses in the stable with Pau's 19 mil and dumped salaries. LOL @ Second Round Picks. Anything else is uncivilized huh?

I hope we swap Pau out for Jeremy Lamb or Austin Rivers. We need a young SG to take over when Kobe retires.
