I am not one to advocate this deal. I have every reason to believe it is just the writer trying to boil up news. I bet he is a Laker fan just like us.
Assuming there is something between this inner city rivals, it would have to look like this:
Kwame Brown (big man, cap space)
Javaris Crittenton (PG, scorer)
Brian Cook (backup PF, shooter)
Sasha Vujacic (expiring)
-- for --
Corey Maggette (slasher, scorer)
Tim Thomas (ugly contract, forward)
Personally, I'd prefer Cassell over Tim Thom. Though washed up, he is an expiring contract to dump off next year. Realistically, they would want TimThom's contract taken away.
The Clippers gain Crittenton, Kwame and Cook to add to their young upcoming core. Brand has an option next year and he could very well sign elsewhere. The Clippers will then have tons of cap room and a group of young talents to showcase. Javaris will be leading the pack with Shaun Livingston still injured, to pair up with Chris Kaman and Al Thornton. |

| This is a deal I am trying to push for...we keep the core intact with Kobe, LO, Bynum and add to it with Maggette. Thomas+Vlad Rad are two deadly shooters to help spread the floor. We would most likely give multiple picks+cash to the Clips but the main response to an idea like this is "cross-city rivals", "same divison" while those are valid points, the Clips are in a bad situation right now and can be forced to do a trade like that |

| i think its time for us to come to a realization that cook and sasha will not get u anything because no one wants them. cook and sasha are the type of players that teams just let go when they become free agents. the clips front office would have to be dumber than ours to make that trade. |

Baylor is in the GM pool with Kupcake and McHale...they're all of the "lesser" type GMs |

Cook and Sasha as supposed to dumping Tim Thom's contract to us makes real sense for the Clippers.
Of course this is hypothetical so you can say what you want. |

| i do give baylor credit though when he swindled chicago by trading tyson chandler for elton brand. had that been kupcake, he would have traded chandler for travis knight. |

Knight isn't enough for Chandler I would've made it a three way deal sending Madsen back to us from Minny |

He and Ronny can be our cheerleaders off the bench as well |

If we trade straight up with the clips. We have to give them all potential and expiring contracts. They aren't aiming for this season because of Brand and Livingston.
Their worst two contracts right now: Livingston at almost 4 mil and he may never play again. Kaman at 3.5 mil a year and he's a bust. T. Thomas is equal to Radmanovich as well. So. . .
We take
Livingston, Kaman, Maggette for
Kwame, Bynum, Critt, two picks and cash
How about this: |

C: Kaman, Mihim
PF: LO, Turiaf, Cook
SF: Maggette, Luke, Vlad
SG: Kobe, Evans
PG: Fish, Farmar, Livingston.
that is not a bad lineup at all.. in fact.. second round material there...
but i doubt the clippers are giving up livingston now.. he is (was) theri future!...
if this deal is on the table... i will pull the trigger in a heart beat and make sure elgin cannot regret it.
Kwame Bynum and Crit can sure help them with big bodies and PG play...
i will throw it sahsa's expiring to sweeten the deal for them if they want more PG to be save... haha...
all in all, i like it.. call elgin or mitch, someone here ought to have one of thems numbers...
wheres all the insider now? are they all gone??? i thought we had many of those here!?? |

| I'd be happy with Maggette. He is a true second highest scorer on any team. If he average 18 pts a game and we still had Lamar putting up his roller coaster numbers we would b | |
