This is a crazy idea I hatched straight from the oven.
CHICAGO gets:
Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, Vlade Radmanovic, Andrew Bynum,
Javaris Crittenton
MEMPHIS gets:
Luol Deng + Ty Thomas + Joakim Noah
LA LAKERS get:
Pau Gasol + Ben Wallace + Chris Duhon
Impossible? Not really.
Chicago braces itself for the East title. Losing Ben Wallace in the middle will be compensated by Kwame Brown. Odom is a huge upgrade over Luol Deng. Radmanovic provides for needed shooting to spread the floor, Crittenton replaces Duhon as the backup PG and Andrew Bynum can come off the bench till his time arrives.
Hinrich / Crittenton / JamesOn Curry
Gordon / Sefolosha / Adrian Griffin
Nocioni / Radmanovic / Viktor Khryapa
Odom / Joe Smith
Kwame / Bynum / Gray
Memphis meanwhile has been asking for this deal for Pau Gasol since the deadline. Luol Deng, Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah.
Conley / Lowry / Stoudamire
Mike Miller / Rudy Gay / Jacobsen
Deng / Kinsey / Cardinal
Ty Thomas / Joakim Noah / Warrick
Millicic / Swift / Andre Brown
LA meanwhile loads up for contention. Ben Wallace is the pillar in the middle for the defensive woes, Pau Gasol is Kobe's 2nd option. Nevermind the cap and the future, Kobe will be worth the while.
Farmar / Fisher / Duhon
Kobe / Evans / Karl /
Walton / Sasha
Gasol / Turiaf / Cook
Wallace / Mihm /
With a lineup like this, we will be able to convince PJ Brown or Chris Webber to play for a real contender. |

It was a good try and all but very unrealistic. I think the Bulls would be the first to say a, HELL NO to that trade. The Bulls are unwilling to include Deng in trade talks with Kobe at this point, so why would you think they'd do it for Odom and Bynum? Deng has much more potential to be a star then any other player they are getting in return, not to mention losing Thomas, Noah, and Wallace is even more of a reason for them not to make this trade.
Think about this, the Bulls are already contendors, and they have a very bright future because most of their core is still very young, so why would they mess with that? Your proposal completely GUTS their team. They wouldn't do it. I have no doubt in my mind that the Bulls will flat out reject that offer without even making a counter offer.
I think you need to find a team that's willing to deal for less then what the Grizzlies would comand for Gasol. Too bad Portland doesn't have Randolph anymore. |

Check this one out.
Lakers-Bulls-Nuggets
Lakers send Odom, Bynum, Rodmonovic, and Farmar to the Bulls, and Kwame to the Nuggets
Bulls send Wallace and Ty Thomas to the Lakers, and Duhon to the Nuggets.
Nuggets send J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin to the Lakers.
Bulls lineup:
Hinrich/Farmar
Gordon/Sefelosha
Deng/Nocioni
Odom/Smith/Rodmonovic
Bynum/Noah
Lakers lineup
Fisher/Crittenton
Bryant/J.R. Smith
Thomas/Walton/Evans
K-Mart/Turiaf
Wallace/Mihm/
Look at the athletesism and defense up front with Thomas, K-Mart and Wallace....plus JR smith and Walton of the bench along with youngsters Critt and Turiaf and solid players in Evans and Mihm.
We can even change up the lineup like this:
J.R. Smith/Fisher/Crittenton
Bryant/Evans
Walton/Thomas
K-Mart/Turiaf
Wallace/Mihm |

| That trade actually sounds pretty good for all the teams, though I'm not sure Chicago would want that many players. I doubt that Gasol is going anywhere now that his buddy Navarro has been signed by the Grizzlies. |

Chicago is probably feeling the effects of the Ben Wallace signing as of now. He is like an Andrei Kirilenko of the Bulls, not being able to produce as expected by being the highest paid player. His contract runs for 3 more years and thats a lot of cap room at 15M per. Ty Thomas and Luol Deng are the ones they give up for Pau Gasol - only this time, they receive Odom who is a better fit in Chicago anyway to go along with Bynum and Crittenton. Its hard to say how the Bulls will react, I would actually If I were a Bulls fan.
JCN will probably go along with Pau in the trade. Im not sure how the conditions are since he is still working on his buyout from Europe. |

| It's an interesting idea I like it Warren but your right Navarro would most likely go with Pau but I don't see chicago sending out Deng at all. If Gordon or Sefolosha or both are included I can see them doing this deal. |

| Some comments from the other fence made me realize Deng is that untouchable guy in Chicago. I guess I have to reconsider... That was the sentiment I did not realize till now. I thought they were high on Gordon. |

nah, gordon is expendable, in fact the fans in chicago are not big supporters of him. deng and heinrich are the untouchabulls. |

| Yeah you're right Nicky... I found out on other forums that indeed Deng is Untoucha-Bull. Apparently not worth Odom for them? |

| i dont like this trade. We get rid of lots of players and the players have to learn the triangle and stuff. Just one good player. |
