Quote:
Possible chain reaction in East from Garnett trade
Wednesday, Aug 1, 2007
The Boston Celtics' trade for Kevin Garnett could also push Eastern Conference teams, including the Chicago Bulls, to begin pursuit again of Pau Gasol, who could again come on the market with the Memphis Grizzlies close to rebuilding as well.
Also, there were reports that Indiana Pacers' forward Jermaine O'Neal could be dealt to the New Jersey Nets in a package for Richard Jefferson and Nenad Krstic, and it's likely talks about O'Neal will increase again.

Wow. I didn't see the Lakers in that mix. Does that mean that we stick it with this lineup? Oh I hope not.
And I am not saying who to get, I am saying just get someone who can help immediately! Mitch! Open you damn eyes and see that everybody has been improving but us! Wake up man! |

| lets hope Gasol trade talks open up with the Lakers because i have a feeling Bird will continue denying any offer for JO that doesn't include LO and Bynum. |

| i have a link from hoopsworld and their GM said he did everything to make Gasol happy by getting a bunch of young talent like Conley and the last talk he had with Gasol was positive according to it looks like Gasol isn't going to be traded according to their GM Chris Wallace. he thinks they made Gasol happy. |

| I dont think Gasol is going anywhere. And if he was and the Bulls wanted him they have more to give then we do. And if another team gets JO the Lakers are out of options. They are lucky they even have the chance to get him. Imagine if Jo was not available??? The Lakers would be stuck with the team they have...some fans would like that..I would not..and oh by the way KOBE would HATE THAT. |

| I hate how the Lakers positioned themselves this offseason. I mean, limited options, a tirade from their best player, and a DUI form the owner. What more can you ask? |

I knew it. You heard it from me first guys. I knew that once KG was traded, the Nets would beef up their stance on JO.
And now that it's been made official that the Nets are going for JO, it's time for us (and especially our FO) to be heard as well! It's time for action... I expect JO trade rumors for us to pop up in the next day or two, otherwise it's undeniable proof that our FO is lazy and incompetent. The Nets have shown off their trade pieces to Indy, now it's time for us to show ours! |

| Tama ka Pinoy! We have to be heard around the league that we are doing everything to improve! I don't want the Lakers to fall from grace that easily and let the best player in the planet just walk away. |

| We asserted ourselves to early in my opinion. We acted eager from the very beginning of the off season. Look at Ainge....He was calm cool and collective before making any trades. Nobody saw the Celtics like this going into this season but every team knew we wanted help. They thought to themselves....Hey if they want Kobe to stay we can overcharge them. We acted to eager. Calm cool and collective Mitch |
