Well i want you guys to hear it from me first. so i can end up saying.. I TOLD YOU So....but Celts are going to melt away and get eliminated 1st or second round...i'm sorry. but we can't just throw in the towel and give them the championship just because they are going to have kg, Pierce and Allen....yes i know it will be a tough team to play but. Look around in the east...they're not the only team making improvements..
there's orlando with a new 1-2 punch of lewis and howard. who can play both d and o...and don't forget arroyo and reddick.
theres the nets..the other 3 headed monster. kidd/rj/carter..old? yes..but so are the celtics after giving away so many young prospects. and besides..Kidd makes any team above average.
miami...i can't stand them but they still have wade and zo. and oh yeah snaq..and antoin walker with a side of white chocolate
and my favorite to win the east.....
the raptors. yes..thats right the raptors.. they have none other than bosh,tj ford........... barney-annie and garbajosa who now have a season under their belt..and a half way decent bench..i'm sorry but the raptors are a force to be wreckened with.
let me know your predictions? |

| ECF possibly defeating Detroit but if they do make it to the finals they will lose to the Spurs |

| They will be a top 3 seed in the east no doubt. I would say Detriot and Miami have to be mentioned. Also you have to say Toronto and Cleveland. I dont think the Celts will win the East. But then again I did not EVER think Lebron and the Cavs would win last year. |

i say boston wins 51 games.
rondo/pruitt
allen/allen (tony)
pierce/gomes/powe
garnett/davis/wallace (brandon)
perkins/mle?
they need some work.. but if the three share the rock, expect a trip to the eastern conference finals.. |

If we had pau and artest with kobe/odom we would be the best team in basketball hands down.
You guys are crazy. The celts immediately jump to the #1 seed in my opinion. Best in the east. top five in the league. Yes old. yes shallow bench. But they have three warriors! guys that hate to lose and fight back. Not to mention most important. 3 totally different players. I would have hated to have kobe and arenas together because they play the same position. but Garnett is the perfect power forward in a small east. Pierce is a top five small forward in the league, and Ray Allen is the best shooting guard when he's hot. Jeez Leweez.
Look at the matchups:
Lebron vs. 3 headed monster- celts sweep
3 headed monster (Nets) vs. better 3 headed monster- celts in five
Depleted detroit vs Celts- battle of old age but Celts win in 5
Celts vs. Orlando- 6 or 7 either way because 2 vs. 3 is better if they are young. tough call
Raptors and Miami are in it again but not factors next season. Guys Dwayde is finished. I'm sorry to say that he is done, but at least unlike Grant Hill he got his championship. On the bright side people will always wonder what he could have been. |

| i agree lakerfan8. i think the celts would be favorite to win the east. i really think that they would have the best trio in the league. |

Yah. Of course assuming that all 3 of their all stars stay healthy. Ray allen claims he is perfect again. Pierce took it easy to dive for a good draft pick and should be good to go. KG is old but durable. I feel he will have shaq syndrome. His tank is still 1/3 full but the bruisings of playing against bigger players is similar to shaq being double and triple teamed and he will crumble fast. when it happens it will only take 2-3 years for him to be a bencher.
If the celts were in the west they might have a tougher time because we have smarter deeper teams. Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio. hell even Houston is looking deeper with Bonzi back and Francis there. Celts salary is screwed for years so they better make it happen fast. |

If they win, its a great trade. If they don't win in a couple of years, the trade sucks big time.
They lord over the standings, until they get to the playoffs and notice they have no bench and no defense... |

There's no doubt; the Celtics will dominate. They'll be a top 3 team for a couple years before the aging 3-headed monster starts running dry.
So as of now, the Celtics managed to pull off what we Lakers have tried: improving our team dramatically and throwing the future to the winds... |

sorry but raptors are a huge factor...they made it to the playoffs last year when their 2 rookies garbajosa and barney-annie. got injured at around the half way point. they have a pretty scary team. barney, garbajosa,tj ford, and of course chris bosh...to make matters worse for the league... barney and garbajosa now have a year under their belt, and an off season to fully recover..uh oh.. so expect a lot from them...and same goes with the wizards..arenas, jamison, and a shooter being the rookie nick young.and they do have the power of hibachi on there side.. so don't overlook the east..its silently catching up to the west |

I think the Raptors might miss the playoffs next year due to the fact that most playoff teams improved as well as some non playoff teams. Here's my picks for the East as of now with KG going to Boston:
1 Boston - 60 wins
2 Chicago - 58 wins
3 Detriot - 55 wins
4 Cleveland - 51 wins
5 New Jersey - 48 wins
6 Washington - 47 wins
7 New York - 43 wins
8 Orlando - 42 wins
9 Toronto - 41 wins
10 Miami | |
