| I love Chris Wilcox - this guy is an awesome rebounder and has some good moves in the post. He is a strong banger player and have wanted to see him in a Lakers uniform since he was with the Clippers. A definite YES! on any trade for Chris Wilcox. Give them Luke or Vlade or both - don't care - this guy would be the perfect pf backup. |

| ^^^Im glad others share my enthusiasm for wilcox, i think despite any religious differences we should all pray and send positive vibes to OKC so this can happen. I just hope there wouldn't be any hard feelings between him and Mihm hahaha |

Thought up of this little number at work. It involves four teams - I know, I know....nearly impossible to happen, but humor me. It involves four teams that are looking to get rid of some players and are actively pursuing some others.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &cash=
The Chicago Bulls trade Kirk Hinrich to Miami and get Luke Walton and Chris Mihm in return. It's no secret the Bulls are looking to get rid of Hinrich since they drafted Rose. Chicago has a above average starting five: Rose, Hughes, Deng, Gooden and Thomas. Not too mention their bench: Ben Gordon, Joakim Noah, Nocioni, Walton and Mihm. They are in desperate need of a backup center which they get in Mihm. Luke helps to lengthen their depth on their bench. By getting rid of Hinrich and Mihm's expiring contract, the Bulls will only have two players under contract the following year, for a total of $18mil which will allow them to purse one of the huge free agents that will be available.
The Miami Heat trade Marion to the Kings, Udonis Haslem to the Lakers and take back Kirk Hinrich, Kenny Thomas and Vladimir Radmonovich. They get rid of Marion's huge contract and get the PG they are in desperate need of in Hinrich. Radmonovic provides some size and a deep threat that will help spread the floor. They will also be getting Thomas (thank goodness) that will also provide some-what of a veteran presence and deepen the bench.
The Sacramento Kings get rid of Kenny Thomas' disgusting contract and a mal-content Ron Artest, and in return they get Shaw Marion. Even though I despise all King's fans, they need someone to cheer for up there. This will be the highest profile player the Maloof brothers will have had in years. He provides defense and a scoring threat along side of Kevin Martin and Brad Miller.
The Lakers get rid of RadMan, Luke and Mihm and in return get Artest and Udonis Haslem. We obviously get stronger here! We get the player we've been coveting in Artest and a true #4 that will help heal the loss of Turiaf. With the addition of Artest, you would have to assume Lamar becomes a 6th man a la Ginobili. With that move coupled with the addition of Haslem the bench becomes RIDICULOUS: LO, Haslem, Farmar, Ariza, and Karl.
If you're the Lakers, Bulls or Kings I am not sure how you pass up on this; that being said I may be hesitant if I were the Heat.
Again, I know this trade is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to happen, but I feel it's something that is generally fair across the boards. What do you guys think? What tweaks would you make? |

NOOOO WAAAYYY it would ever happen, Miami's entire goal right now is to shed cap space by 2010, Hinrich's and Rad's contract screw that goal |

| Jangles, I know your trying to help the Lakers out with your idea, but cmon, that's a horrible trade for the other teams, especially the Bulls. They can get much more value in return for Hinrich. Walton and Mihm? You think that's the best they can do? Even if they don't get any other offers for Hinrich, they won't settle for that garbage. If your gona argue that they will, then maybe you can suggest Mbenga to the Bulls for Derick rose. |

Kings wouldn´t do it... they want to ship thomas bad contract.... in your scenario they still have thomas and another bad contract to deal with it....
if luke were an expiring contract, maybe, but no with 5 years left..... |

this is the perfect trade for the lakers that is lol but its not that bad for the kings either. what do you guys think. optimistic, i would like your point of view .
Honestly, Lakers would do it. On the other hand, the Kings wouldn't feel the same way......
Btw, let's please keep all trade ideas in the Official Trade Ideas Thread.

This is completely hypothetical, and I am all for keeping Odom and seeing how it works, but if for some reason we need a "conventional SF," what do you guys think about this trade and the possibility of it actually happening? Odom, Hinrich and Howard are the main pieces, the other guys just make the number work. I thought of this after listening to Stephen A talk about how Howard is much the same player as Artest, but better in many areas, which is why they did not want to swap them. Again im just throwin this out there
