    but artest is crazy. literally.

i don't know if he'd get along with our mild-mannered lakers squad. could you see coby karl and ron artest chest bumping? lol. oh wait he's in the d-league.

i'd like caron. before he got injured, he was carrying his team to wins over boston. twice in a row. he was playing under pressure and he took it all in; he has the "it" that kobe has, that "it" that lamar unfortunately doesn't have.

    Listen up, listen up!

Rumors has it that Tinseltown ain't done tinkering with their rosters just yet. I personally feel that we should keep Odom because he is a triple-double threat and we do not need anyone else. But if ever the Lakers were to trade him, I'd suggest this:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &cash=

    Why the Lakers do it:
We get rid of Odom as they feel they should.
Walton would be off our backs, with his poor play, he doesn't deserve his contract. His contract is too long and it will be gone from our books.
Our defense increases exponentially and you wouldn't have to be a genius to figure out that with his addtion to the line-up, we would be champions for sure. If Marion opts out then we'll have cap space to sign someone good. Either way, it's a win-win situation and we don't have to sacrifice much. (Walton should go)

    Why the Heat will accept:
They get a very, versatile player in Odom and he'll create mismatches at the 3-spot.
They secure their 3-spot with Odom and Walton off the bench. With Ricky Davis' contract expiring, they won't worry about signing a small forward.
With Jason Williams coming off the books, they would have enough to sign a good Big Man.

I only proposed this deal if the Lakers F.O. really doesn't want L.O.

But I hope we keep him. We can win the gold with Odom. Odom has been on a tear and I know he'll continue the way he's playing and we'll prove even more valuable when Bynum is back. All we need him to do is average 9 points, 10 boards and 6 assists. Once his contract expires, sign him to 7-8M. Which is reasonable. If he refuses, sign someone else. But for now, leave the roster as it is and wait until the playoffs are over and we'll decide. But by then, let's not be greedy and thank the Lord for the team we have today.

    Go Lakers!

Anyways, I don't think Marion is in the Heat's plans to rebuild around Wade.

I think the only player that we should trade Lamar Odom for is Michael Redd. I think that he is the player that would help the Lakers the most if we traded for him. We would definitely miss Odom's size and rebounding but I think Bynum and Gasol would have no problem making up for it. I think Michael Redd's shooting would spread out defenses and cause teams to play Kobe one on one. Bynum and Gasol could score down low or kick it out to Redd is one the League's top 5 shooters for sure. If we had Michael Redd there would be no way to stop us.

    Bynum
    Gasol
    Redd
    Kobe
    Fisher

here is one way the trade could happen.

If this is going to be the official thread, you might want to spell "Official" correctly in the title.

No way, we don't need him. He's not a 3, and we need a true swingman. Caron Butler is the most likely because of his scoring and defense.
