No offense, but I have no idea what your title means.
But I get the gist of it.
Lakers
Celtics
Spurs
Cavs
Magic
That's my order of the top 5 teams.
Biggest shockers will be:
Portland
Denver (because they will start to suck next year; I'm calling it right now)
Miami (will make it to the playoffs and do something; D-Wade's good enough)
New York (just because I want them to make it to the 8th seed this year)
One last note:
Wizards will find that they have no cohesiveness and blow up their core. One of their big 3 will be traded or something. Just my opinion. |

And i agree Toronto is gonna be a shocker in the playoffs now that they got Hedo, and Memphis got Thabeet and Randolph , and Marc Gasol < --- i see them improving this coming up season. |

Sorry 3peat i dont agree that Cavs are 2nd best team, that Shaq trade wont do Sh*t so much hype "win a ring for king" im getting sick and tired of Shaq they can not beat Orlando or Celtics. Plus Cavs have no bench , Varejao,Wally,Joe are all free agents. I heard Varejao is going to Dallas or Bobcats, and hes asking for 8 million and Cavs cant afford to pay him that much. Wally is washed up and Joe is old. I saw Shaq in a interview on ESPN , He wanted Ariza and Artest to join him but never will happen since Artest is with us and Ariza signed a long term deal with Rockets. Whos gonna start at the 4 Ilgauskas or Hickson , are you kidding me i rather have my grandma start instead of those guys.
Top Teams In The NBA Right Now Coming In To This Season.
1 . Los Angeles Lakers
2. **San Antonio Spurs / Boston Celtics**
3. **Who ever gets Rasheed will be 2nd and the other team will be 3rd best in the NBA
4. Orlando Magic - I have a gut feeling that Dwight worked really hard in his post up game and worked on his free throws
5. Denver Nuggets - there like 2 slight hairs better then Cleveland because they have more fire Power.
6. Cleveland Cavaliers - Shaq and Lebron = Ring, Wont happen Shaq is 37 i think and hes not gonna improve on guarding pick and rolls. And Cleveland needs a true All-Star Power Foward like a Chris Bosh which i dont see them getting cause Bosh will stay in Toronto or play with Wade in Miami. |

I think you guys are giving Denver too much credit. Watching them play gave me the distinct feeling that they were a bit of a fluke team. Billups may be able to stabilize them, but losing in the playoffs may affect some of their hot headed players in a bad way. They're going to come out cold, IMO. Something like the Hornets, except with less injuries.
And on the contrary, the Spurs are a team of professionals who know how to win. Their new acquisition of Richard Jefferson only gives them a new offensive weapon that they sorely needed. Ginobili and Parker are going to collapse the defense enough for Jefferson to get those open 3s that he's gotten so damn good at.
Orlando's loss of Turkoglu makes me put them lower down in the rankings. Jameer Nelson is a great player, but Turk's been in the league for a LONG time, and he's played with playoff teams in the past (Kings and the Spurs) and has acquired a winning mentality. That type of experience can't be easily replaced. No, I don't think that Vince Carter knows how to win. Just my opinion.
The Celtics are just like the Spurs, and they showed a lot of grit in their playoff push against the Bulls and the Magic without the help of MVP-caliber player Kevin Garnett. That's a hell of a statement, and you know KG really believed what he said when he guaranteed two more championships for the Celtics. That sort of championship mentality will get a team far into the playoffs, and I hope we take them on next year in the Finals.
I don't even want to talk about the Cavs, because after Shaq's championship season in Miami, it seems he's more of a burden than a help to all the teams he's been with. He got in Dwayne Wade's way, left Miami, slowed Phoenix's offense down to a grinding halt, and now he thinks he's got plenty in his tank to win with LeBron? I don't think so.
Anywho, my 2 cents. |

i agree Cavs are not going anywhere they will get eliminated in the semi final or confrence. And yeah i saw the interview and he said he has alot in the take left , thats some bullsh*t so sick in tired about people talking about lebron and shaq chasing a ring. I hate the Cavs never will likethem, heck i rather be a Celtic fan then Cavs fan if those 2 team were the last ones on earth.

1) Lakers---> I have a gut feeling that Artest will work out, our defense (because its contagious) will improve greatly and we will repeat
2) Boston----> boston is probably pissed off at last year and will have a chip on their shoulders and play filled with piss and vinegar but ultimately fail. I see Boston comming out of the East and us getting our 2008 finals revenge.
3)Spurs----> if all stays healthy you can't count these guys out. I think Lakers/Spurs WCF
4)Orlando----> I have them in the Conference finals since the East is still pretty weak but advancing to the finals again? probably not
5)Cleveland----> shaq will actually make Cleveland worse like he did Phoenix. He really clogs up the middle and will either not give "Queen" James enough room to operate (I'm still not sold on his outside shooting), be ineffective not playing in the paint, or have ego problems not being the man.
Surprise teams?
Clippers.... griffin won't take the Clippers to the next level... they are far too low. People will be surprised and say Griffin didn't do anything. |

1) L.A. Lakers -- Defending champs, projected to get stronger with the addition of Ron Artest, and hopefully the emergence of Andrew Bynum. Not too much to say here, just expecting another strong regular season and playoff run from the Lakers.
2) Boston Celtics -- I mean, their '08 Championship team was definitely stronger than the Lakers '09 Championship team. Aside from Posey and Brown, they have that same team, but also in that time, Rondo has developed into an elite player, and Allen actually had a better year in '08-'09 than he did in '07-'08. If they get healthy, get a competent wing player to add to the bench, maybe land Rasheed Wallace - I think we're looking at a really competitive 2010 Finals.
3) Cleveland Cavaliers -- As long as they have James, they'll always be in the mix. People say Shaq is old, and while that's certainly true, he's still a post presence capable of drawing double teams. LeBron's never really had anyone like that to work with. The only reason I give Boston the nod is because I think they'll have a better regular season, and that means that Game 7 will be in Boston. But Cleveland does really match up well with the Celtics, and I certainly wouldn't put it past them to win a game in Boston.
4) San Antonio Spurs -- With these older teams, like Boston, it just comes down to health. I think Jefferson, a really underrated player in my opinion, will be a perfect fit, but I don't know if they'll have enough to overcome L.A. Bynum has proven, when healthy, that's he's perfectly capable of guarding Duncan one-on-one. If Ginobili and Duncan are back at full strength, they can certainly give L.A. trouble (Parker will probably average 30-35 ppg in any series against the Lakers, Kobe won't be able to roam on defense), but I think our frontcourt trio of Gasol, Bynum, and Odom should be enough to overcome Duncan and whoever they throw out there with him.
I really don't have a fifth team, these are the only four teams that I could actually envision winning a championship.
Shockers:
Orlando Magic (negative) -- I really think they might take a step back this season. Granted, Nelson is coming back healthy, but their biggest advantage was their ability to cause so many matchup problems. By bringing in Carter, and letting Turkoglu go, they became a more conventional team. They'll probably move Rashard Lewis to small forward, and basically not have any serious mismatches anymore. I guess they could start Pietrus, but then their bench would be woefully thin.
Golden State Warriors (positive) -- I think they might grab that final playoff spot. The Western Conference only had nine good teams last year, and with Yao's injury, Artest's departure, and the fact that McGrady will probably never be a relevant player again, they don't figure to be any sort of a threat. Also, Phoenix got rid of Shaq, and are heavily shopping Stoudemire. Essentially, they're having a firesale. So, Phoenix won't contend for the playoffs. Assuming that the Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, Blazers, Mavericks, Jazz, and Hornets return to the playoffs, I think the Warriors take the final spot. They'll have Ellis healthy from the outset. Really like Curry and Randolph too. |

Western Conference
1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. Trail Blazers
4. Nuggets
5. Jazz
6. Hornets
7. Rockets
8. Clippers
Pacific division will be incredibly weak sauce. The west as a whole will no longer be deep 1-8. The Clippers meet us in the first round, and we meet our nemesis 3rd seeded Portland in the conference finals.
WeakSTERN Conference
1. Crabaliers
2. Boston Thugs
3. Orlandumb
4. Miamiss
5. Bullsht
6. Philly cheese
7. Cawks
8. Wizards
Its lame, but Cleveland will have a much better interior game with Shaq and Lebron, when mixed with perimeter knockdown shooters it will take the depth of the Lakers and Boston to even stop them. Wizards will come out of the weeds to say hi, everyone else is a lost cause come playoff time. |

In the east I think it will be Cav's, Celtics, Magic, Sixers, Miami
In the west it will be the Lakers, Nuggets, Spurs, Blazers and the Jazz.
The rich get richer and that is the Lakers. They should win again with the acquasition of Artest. |

I agree with this order completely. If we lose Lamar to San Antonio, I would plays the Spurs above the Lakers... |

Wouldn't the Clippers need to win over 50 games to make the 8th seed in the west? I have a VERY difficult time seeing the Clippers as a 50 win team. Blake Griffin better be THE TRUTH if the Clipps are going to go from Lottery team to 50 win team in one year. Personally, I just don't see it. Maybe they could make the playoffs if they were in the East, but in the West? No way.
I think Golden State takes Houston's spot in the playoffs next year in the West.
1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. Mavs
4. Nuggets

How do we know what he meant? It's all up to interpretation. He could have been elated and typed it out of joy. You or I don't know that! |

The West is no longer as deep as it was two years ago. It will take 45 wins to settle for the 8th seed.
But it will be a wild card race all the way through with surprise teams jousting for that last spot. It could involve Houston, Clippers, Phoenix. Not a big believer in the Warriors, they just don't have Don Nelson type players. Baron Davis was a huge loss. Hence all the line-up changes.
1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. Trail Blazers
4. Nuggets
5. Mavericks
6. Jazz
7. Hornets
8. Clippers
As of now. The Mavs getting Marion was big enough to get them into the playoffs again. Division rival Houston is out. The Pacific West is very very shallow, so the Clippers hold their ground. |

Sorry, I just don't see it. The Clippers are going to have to get +26 wins from last year's team in order to get to 45 and the only thing they've really done to improve the roster is draft Griffin. Teams like the Rockets, Suns, and Warriors still have talented rosters and will be competitive.
Chris Kaman is an injury riddled bust, the injury prone Baron Davis proved last year that he can't play well in Dunleavy's system, and Camby (also a big injury risk) is getting old and may have lost a step. Blake Griffin hasn't proved anything in the NBA yet and I have a hard time seeing the Clippers improve from 19 wins in 2009 to 45 wins in 2010. The Clippers need a new coach, and a new philosophy to change their losing ways. Assuming they take the 8th seed is just wishful thinking. Sorry, Clipper fans, I disagree with you. |
