    You didn't make a statement.

Since we are talking teams, 2009 Lakers v. 2002 Lakers

I'd say '02 Lakers....they had to go through a truly dominant team. The Kings were REALLY good that year.

    Jason Terry or Nate Robinson?

Jason Terry no questions asked. The dude can flat out shoot! I think Nate is a product of D'Antoni's system.

Greg Oden or Greg Ostertag? Confused

I gotta go with Oden because we've all seen Ostertag's unspectacular career but Oden at least still has a chance to develop into some semblance of a good player. I'm not sure how likely the chances are of him being a good player, but I'll still take Oden.

    Better starting 5 + 6th man:

    Fisher
    Kobe
    Artest
    Gasol
    Bynum
    6th: Walton (bye bye Odom)

    or

    Rondo
    Allen
    Pierce
    Garnett
    Perkins
    6th: Wallace

I think we should be worried, guys....

I can't say that Brian Cook has ever been given the opportunity to fail as a starter, which he almost certainly would, but again, because of the uncertainty factor, I have to give the nod to Cook. There's no uncertainly about Smush... starter or benchwarmer, he sucks. Period.

    2009 Lakers or 1998 Bulls?

^ In my opinion, the weakest of the Jordan championship teams, but they're still better than the 2009 Lakers. Although the coaching matchup is a dead heat....Smile

Gonna have to gaze into the crystal ball for this one:

2008 Boston Celtics or 2010 Boston Celtics?

I would say the 2008 Celtics. Now that each of the "Big 3" have won a ring, I don't think that they will play with as much intensity as they did in '08. They are also two years older, which doesn't make them as good.

    Kevin Martin or Danny Granger?

Derrick Rose, I think he has more potential, even though Devin has been in the NBA for a few years.

EDIT: I forgot my 'This or That?' choices/nominees Razz

    David West or Amare Stoudamire.

Shannon Brown because he is perfect as a starter in the triangle next to Kobe.

Then I´d take D-Wade! I´d take the "real" LeBron over Wade I think, but Wades skillset overpowers everything LeBron could do with both of them at same height.

Horace Grant or A.C. Green both at best back in their Lakers-days?

Now that´s a hard question, but I´ll take D. Harris. Rondo is really good and stepped it up in the playoffs, but seems a nutcase to me oftentimes and his jumper has to improve to ever get him into a real discussion about the best PG´s out there in my opinion.
Harris has matured and is a master at creating drives to the basket or shooting the midrange jumper. He´s pretty dangerous in a lot of ways out there on the court and can dish it out, too.

Michael Finley or Jerry Stackhouse both in thier primes?
(I´d take Finley as I´m rockin my old FinDog-jersey while sitting here Very Happy)

I'm going with Roy. Mayo may end up being the more prolific scorer, but I don't think he'll develop the all-around game that Roy has. Both players still have A LOT to learn on the defensive end, but I'm thinking Roy will come closer to approaching the Kobe Bryant level of shooting guard.

Rookie of the Year: Blake Griffin or Anyone Else?

    ????

Why are we comparing a lightning quick 6 foot point guard in Jennings to an athletic wingman like Demar Derozan? That's like saying Wade or CP3? How to you begin to choose between those players? They're both great in their own regard.

Still, if you are asking who will have the better season, I'll go with Jennings. In Milwaukee, Jennings is going to get every opportunity to start since it looks like Sessions is leaving town for a bigger contract. Jennings will be asked to score, playmake, and do a lot of things for his team, where as Derozan may be playing behind Turkoglu. Even if he starts at the 2, Toronto has a lot of players (Bosh, Turkoglu, Calderon, Bargnani) who like to score the ball, so he'll probably get less opportunities to be an impact player right away.

Plus, I think people are saying that Derozan is the most athletic guy coming out of this year's draft, but he still has a LOOOOONG way to go in developing his skill game. Jennings has already got a lot of the point guard skills. Jennings > Derozan for this upcoming season.

    Darko Milicic or Kwame Brown?

Ben Wallace or Dennis Rodman in their primes?? Ooooh, that's a tough one.

I'm going to go with Dennis because he was probably the better man to man defender and the better rebounder. Big Ben was a beast defensively and most certainly a better help defender than Dennis, but Dennis edges him out just slightly. Personally, I wouldn't mess with either player even today.

Nick Van Exel in his prime

    or

    Mo Williams today

Damon Stoudamire or Darrell Armstrong both in their primes?

I guess I'll got with the less popular choice and take Armstrong in his prime. Darrell was probably the better defender and more athletic player.

Who has defend Kobe better in their respective careers?

    Shane Battier

    Or

    Bruce Bowen

I think it has to be bowen, Kobe himself said so.

Who is the best three point shooter, Reggie Miller in his prime or ray allen in his?

Reggie Miller has a total of 2,560 made 3 pointers and connected at 39.5% in his career.

Ray Allen has a total of 2,299 (and counting) made 3 pointers and he's connected at 39.8% so far in his career.

By the numbers, the players are virtually equal. I'll have to give the nod to Reggie only because he played in the tough "Jordan Era".

    Better Coach:

    Pat Riley or Greg Popovich?

    Greg Popovich.

From what them old folks tell me, Pat Riley was more of a motivator while Magic and Kareem were the player/coaches.

Rick Fox or Robert Horry? Smile

I've gotta go with Big Shot Rob. Both Players do not boast particularly stunning career stats, but Rob has more rings, and more playoff credibility.

Better Dunker in their primes: Jason Richardson or Dominique Wilkins?

J-Rich is power and finesse, Wilkins was more of a sheer power dunker. Sure, he had his monster windmill and did a lot of stuff, but I have to give the nod to J-Rich, whose dunks really impress me!

Which point guard did you prefer back then on the Lakers team?

    Ron Harper or Brian Shaw?

^^^^Ron Harper. I liked Shaw more, but Harper was a better player throughout his career.

    better dunker: MJ or VC

Vince is the greatest dunker of all time. I've never seen a dunk performance so captivating, so mesmerizing, so downright RULES as the 2000 Dunk contest. I believe its still generally considered the greatest dunk contest of all time. All respect to MJ, but VC is a dunk god.

    In their primes:

    Shawn Kemp or Amare Stoudemire?

To be honest, never saw Kemp play, so I'll go with Stoudemire.

Fisher's 0.4 three pointer or Fisher's three pointer in game 4, 2009 finals to send it into overtime?

If you are talking about the more spectacular one then it has to be the 0.4 shot, but the game 4 one was the more important because it was a game swingger in the NBA Finals.

I'm thinking 0.4 is the greatest shot. It was the game winner and I don't think I've ever cheered so loud in my life.

    Better player at age 30?

    Kobe or MJ?

No, I meant whats the better comparison:

    Ariza being the next Wallace
    or
    Lee being the next Hamilton!

    Lol

As for your Q, Boozer for me.

So whats the better comparison? Gerald Wallace & Trevor Ariza, or Courtney Lee & Rip Hamilton?

I'd say Courtney Lee & Rip Hamilton.

It's comparing the young (to be) shooter vs. the veteran (was/still is) shooter.

Shaq Hands Down. Bynum aint a elite centre still needs to improve his foot work and post game. There will never be a Shaq even i though i hate this guy.

    Reggie Miller or Ray Allen.

Ray Allen. I actually think Reggie's a little overrated. Ray's made a lot more all-star teams, and for my money, is just as clutch as Miller was. I think if Allen puts together another quality 3-4 seasons, it won't really be a debate anymore. And besides, could Reggie have ever played Jesus Shuttlesworth? I don't think so....

Better film: Kazaam (with Shaq) or Space Jam (with Jordan)

Space Jam with Jordan. A pure classic and a perfect demonstration of how Jordan was a basketball God and failed at everything else(including acting)

I'll take "The Rock" Richmond. Rice was the better shooter, but Mitch was a better overall basketball player. What a remarkable talent he was, and its a shame that he wasted away in the Cowplop city for so many years, a victim of poor ownership and a front office dedicated to losing. I'm glad he jumped on board with the Lake Show for a ring during the 3-peat era. It was well deserved after a brilliant individual career.

    Clyde "The Glide" Drexler

    or

    George "The Iceman" Gervin

The Iceman one of the best scorers of all time, and has the best finger roll.

I'll take Webber over Brand, but only slightly. Chris was bigger, and had a more dynamic offensive game, but Brand is the better help defender and shot blocker. Both were excellent rebounders. Again, I'll take Webber by a slight margin.

Who ends up with the better career:

    Kwame Brown or Greg Oden?
