Hoopsworld is mainly speculations but this might be true. I heard from RealGm's Lakers forums that Mags signed for 5 years with us, highly doubt it but possibility. Anything is possible.
I much rather bring in Wells. His defense isn't Posey-like but he brings a toughness we need. Good to bump bodies with some guys. Sign a guy with the MLE and another with the BAE. We need two more role players, in my opinion. |

lol. Yeah. You're right.
But, I think he's asking how reliable Hoopsworld is. |

Zo is a great Center but he's not what we need. Anyways, he might not come back and if he does he'll finish his journey with his team.
Diop is what we needed but of course he knew he was coming back to Dallas. Cheaters. >_>.
I'll look at the FA list and see what other center we can snag... |

| We need to get rid of vlad if we get rid of posey. Someone might him because he is a shooter. And he is big. If we could trade him for varejao and then sign posey that would be good because we improve on some of our weakness and get rid of a bad contract. We are going to have to pay bynum a lot of money soon. Also farmar is going to need an extension in 2 years. We also have to pay sasha and ronny too. So we should try to save money everywhere. |

| I agree that Mitch should try to make a Vlad Verejao trade cuz it also gives us flexibility if someone throws a bunch of money at Ronny |

| No Varejao... We don't need another flopper. I really think if Vlad stops doing all the other things and just goes out there and plays like Vladimir he'd be helping us a ton. We need his shooting. That's what he did in Seattle. He's not doing it here. I guarantee if he shoots like he used to, you guys would love him. |

I have no doubt that we would but if he isn't performing then it might have something to do with his inability to perform in the triangle, though that probably isn't the case. Vlad should just spend the summer working on his 3's and next season we could have three of the top 3 point shooters in the league in Sasha, Vlad and Fisher, considering they actually train hard to get their shot going. |

| Varejao does a lot on the court. He is a good defender and rebounder off the bench and brings toughness. Thats just what we need off the bench right? |

I think Varejao would be interesting here. I'm not sure if he would play well in the triangle but it would be interesting to see. Still, I'll take Posey any day. |

Space Balls it is known can not hold up under the pressure of being on a championship-caliber team such as the Lakers. This guy can only do decently when there are no expectations of him - best place for him would be Miami. There is zero chance that we will see anything different from last season from this addle-brained marshmallow - this is a prediction, and I know that I am right. Sure, if he suddenly started to be a basketball player, which he won't, at least not for the Lakers, then we would love him - what a discovery! Right now all we are doing is throwing huge amounts of money straight into the septic tank... Personally, I would even trade this guy straight up for a one-legged paraplegic Pygmy from the Ituri Forest. |

| I don't think Rad is a bad player. Fact I think he has improved his defense and in the playoffs he made several three point shots. The problem with Rad is that if he is pressured and somebody gets on his face, he will not shot. He will pass the ball to somebody else. You got to remember this guy does not have quick moves because of his size at 6'10". During the days when Byron Scott played with the Lakers, he was the same way and I used to get all pissst of because he would not shot if anybody would get close to him. They both have to be wide open in order for them to be successful in their shooting. I think Phil Jackson likes Rad because of his size he can use him as a power forward or a small forward. He is a little too big for a small forward in my opinion and that is where he gets criticized the most. But all this bashing of Rad is uncalled for. |

Axle,
I could perhaps pass over all of his other mental lapses if he knew how to play defense. It is just real tough for me to consider that an occasional 3pt shot is worth all of the rest of the grief that he is capable of causing, mostly not by design, but by omission. I just consider him an extremely one-dimensional player, and since that dimension is so sporadic he is just not worth all of the rest that having him on the team involves. Of course, it is known that I am certainly a Radmanovic detractor and make no bones about it. I am certainly convinced that the Lakers can and should do better than this guy. Perhaps the thing that gripes me most about Radmanovic is that he is either extremely basketball stupid, or he just does not give a damn. In either case, I do not like him for the Lakers and would be extremely happy to see him go and the team not have to waste all of that money on him. He is certainly not worth it for the scarse results he is able to produce from time to time.
By the way, Scott might have been the way you describe at the start of his career, but we must remember he rode the bench for at least a couple of them. At the height of his career he was certainly no longer a shrinking violet and did better his passing game when he was decidedly not open - which is intelligent. I think at least one year Byron led the Lakers in scoring - 21 + points/game, so we are talking about one of the better 2 guards in the League at that period of time.
As for the Rad-bashing as you call it - any little thing that I can do with these dumb posts of mine that accelerate his exit from the team - I will gladly do. I just do not like this guy that much (as a Laker player it is understood - may be a hale fellow well met in person for all I know)!! |

How is the bashing uncalled for? Rad is garbage. Watch him play. He doesn't hustle. I don't think he even knows what the word hustle means. Rad runs around the court letting opposing players blow past him and he seems not to give a ****. |

| I'm no doctor but I do have ADD and I am medicated for it (thank God) but I think Vlad actually has it too. If you watch him on the court he gets distracted when a fan goes to get a drink. They need to get him Riddilin or something and then i think he will become a much better player. |
