to start off we have two free agents we want to resign: sasha and turiaf, lets say if some reports are true and they get crazy offers from houston and utah, where can we go from there?

i have a trade and signing that may be helpful for our team without shaking things up.

    1. i have seen reports saying that verejao is on the block as he will be the odd big man out of Cleveland. it seems as if the cavs want to surround lebron with shoothers. we can possibly trade vlady radman for verejao, it will give the cavs the opprotunity to put vlad at the 4 in select times at the end of the game to spread the floor. For us we get a back up center and pf in the case ronnie leaves us for utah. we will have nice 3 big man rotation with gasol bynum and verejao. ALSO we ll be keeping odom who can slide between the 3 and 4 when necessary. (if not verejao, joe smith can be put in his place an the numbers still work)

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &cash=

    2. michael pietrus is available. he can defend and has three point range. he can help us at sf or even at sg if we do end up losing sasha. we can give him around the mid level hopefully with less years. (also posey can be put in as being signed instead of pietrus if he doesnt resign with boston or magette is available also and has the same agent as kobe he could fill in also)

    3. sign a third string point guard or somebody for the front line for the min or sign barry for min and he can come in as a pg or sg

    4. see if we can trade walton for one of the above

to sum it up trade vlad for verejao and sign pietrus wit the mid level

I dont know why you mentioned Josh Smith, but Vlad for Verejao is about the first legit Vlad trade proposal ive heard on here, I would love ot see that go down especially since Andersons contract is expiring

I'd rather have Posey than Pietrus. Who cares whether Pietrus is younger, Posey is a flat out winner.

But he lacks any sort of offensive capabilities leaving teams to play 5 on 4

At least he is tough on d and is a good rebounder and a good defender. And he doesn't have a bad contract. And we get rid of vlads contract. As for reggie evans he has a bad contract and has 3 years left on it.

Vlad is a shooter. And maybe because they just drafted j.j. hickson.

well.... good point, vlad+lebron could work, Vlad doesn't need to use lebron, he just need to kock down lebron kick outs....

Thats the best scenario for vlad, a brain less shooter, no strange schemes, just shoot....

exactly all Vlad would have to do is run to the corner and jack up threes that LBJ kicks out. And especially with all those big men Verejao is out and Ferry has to take some chances or Lebron will have a new zip code come 2010, Rad could be one of those chances

oh sorry..... "vlad doesn't need to use Lebron"="vlad doesn't need to use his brain"

and yep, Lakeshow707.... Vlad could be perfect to surround lebron....
Cavs needs to run, run and run, they have the best open court player in the NBA and they are playing a joke of a half court game...

I agree that is the first "might actually work" trade I've seen in a long time. Verejao was very impressive on the glass and on defense in the playoffs with the Cavs. He sets nice screens and that could free up enough scorers like Kobe, Pau, Fisher etc. And he gets offensive put backs. Nice one. That would be great.

Evans has a bad contract? VLAD has a bad contract!!!! Evans si 3.6 mill a year til 10/11 and Vlads is 6.4 mill til 10/11. Evans would be a great swap. Also he and Verejao would be good insurance incase anything happens with Ronny.
