Now that's it's halftime of the Lakers game, I highly recommend Cleveland-New Orleans and Houston-OKC...
5 minutes left in the Cavs game:
Hornets - 88
Cavs - 83 |

Mike Beasley had 25 points tonight...
Derrick Rose already has 26 and there's still 4 minutes in his game... |

Rockets start off 3-0
Quote:
HOUSTON -- Tracy McGrady had 22 points, Yao Ming added 16 and the Houston Rockets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 89-77 on Saturday night for their third straight win.
Carl Landry had 14 points and a career-high tying 11 rebounds for Houston. Ron Artest, Luis Scola and Rafer Alston added 10 points apiece.
Houston wasn't sharp offensively, shooting just 36 percent, but led almost the entire way with excellent free-throw shooting (27-of-31). It helped that the Rockets got to the line 19 more times than Oklahoma City.
Houston led by six after three quarters and scored the first nine points in the fourth to stretch its lead to 15 with about 10 minutes left. The Rockets led by double digits the rest of the way.
Oklahoma City is still looking for its first win since leaving Seattle. The Thunder lost their opener to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
Kevin Durant, the reigning Rookie of the Year, had 26 points, five rebounds and four steals for Oklahoma City. Johan Petro and Jeff Green had 10 points each.
Along with rarely getting to the line, Oklahoma City missed all four of its 3-point attempts. Houston was 6-of-21 from 3-point range.
The announced crowd of 16,996 looked unusually thin and wasn't particularly loud for much of the game. The most excited fans seemed in the first half was when the public address announcer gave periodic updates on the Texas-Texas Tech football game.
They woke up a little in the fourth quarter after a nifty three-point play by Yao followed a dunk by Landry.
Oklahoma City put together an 8-0 run, helped by a pair of Houston turnovers, to cut the Rockets' lead to 34-32 about 3 minutes before halftime.
Houston had a scare in the second quarter when McGrady banged the back of his head on Yao's knee after tumbling to the ground following a layup. McGrady grimaced in pain as he lay on the court for a couple of minutes before slowly getting to his feet, shaking it off and making the free throw.
Game notes
Oklahoma outscored Houston 48-32 in the paint. ... Durant scored at least 20 points two times against the Rockets last season.

NFL! We're only halfway through the NFL season, I won't expect to see the NBA on Sundays until about December or so. |

I remember Kobe's 81 point game was on a day of NFL championship games...
And, the highly touted Houston - Lakers game is next Sunday....
But tonight's NFL game, Colts-Pats, figures to draw a HUGE audience, so that might be the reason. |

I was more so referring to NBA on ABC. They won't be around until December. I would guess that the Lakers-Rockets game will be on FSN. |

Ah. Makes sense now. Yeah, NBA on ABC normally debuts every December 25... |

Must have put a damper on their optimism. And to think that Dallas thought they have what it takes to grab the championship this year. LOL |

| BTW, did anyone see Big Baby Davis abuse Yao last night? This leads me to believe that if Bynum can get a little more aggressive and stay out of foul trouble, he may be able to take care of Yao. |

Stoudemire just scored 21 of the 27 points for the Suns.
The Suns are losing though, 27-38 against the Pacers |

Off the bench, don't forget that.
And that gets me mad, I just released Nate Robinson from my fantasy league, bad decision, but I wanted to get Ramon Sessions instead. |

lol, that's kind of ironic. The only reason I was even watching the Knicks-Bobcats game was because I had just picked up Robinson in fantasy league a few days ago.... |

Allen Iverson will wear No. 1 for the Pistons.
The All-Star guard, acquired in a trade with Denver on Monday, had wanted to wear his usual No. 3, which is currently being worn by second-year guard Rodney Stuckey.
Stuckey indicated he would be willing to give up the number, but the NBA ruled Tuesday that a change in numbers can't take place until after the season.
