I was hoping he'd get a chance to shine with us but either way I'm happy to see him finally land on a team.
I have a feeling he's going to make laker management regret not signing him.

Elton Brown to the Bulls: The Chicago Bulls may finally be getting a low post presence, but it's probably not a name many were expecting. Free agent power forward Elton Brown, who has twice led the NBA's D-League in rebounds and double-doubles, is headed to the Bulls. With just 13 guaranteed contracts it's quite likely Brown makes the final roster.
Brown was pursued by a number of teams after a good summer league performance, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks. Earlier this summer HOOPSWORLD caught up with Elton Brown and talked to him about his excellent summer.
"This was the first summer that I actually had the opportunity to showcase some of my skills because before I went to summer league teams that actually had draft picks and they would get all the playing time," Brown said. "I really didn't get the time to play, but Denver actually gave me the chance. They started me and played me 24 minutes a game. It was good to show what I can do."
Brown has played all over the world, including Israel and Greece, after coming out of the University of Virginia. Last season, playing his second with the Colorado 14ers in the D-League, Brown posted averages of 20.4 points and 11.4 rebounds to go with two assists and 51% shooting. The previous season he posted 18.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 52% shooting.
In three playoff games with Colorado in 2007 he posted 25.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. |
