Quote:
Portland: Oden in, Randolph out
Thursday, May 24, 2007
Greg Oden likely would give the Portland Trailblazers the best young core in the NBA along with rookie of the year Brandon Roy and power forward LaMarcus Aldridge. The group will bring back "Rip City" memories of when the Trailblazers got Bill Walton in 1974 and built a champion.
The selection almost certainly means the Trailblazers will trade often-troubled but talented post player Zach Randolph, probably for very little, to focus on the development of Oden and Aldridge.

Randolph only if he comes REAL cheap. He has his share of off-court issues and isn't the best defender in the league.

True I'd give up Kwame and a filler for him. Possibly a 2nd rnd pick. We could put him at PF and move Odom to SF

I like Zach coz we wont give up Lamar to get him. Definitely an upgrade at the 4 spot. Now if can get RonRon or a good point guard we are in business.

So we put artest at the point? Big lineup but then again Phil likes those big PGs

You could play Ron and Kobe at the guard positions. We don'e have to have a true point guard per say. Odom, Kobe, and Ron could all handle the ball.

question is can artest chase around pg's like nash, parker, and deron williams. i would like to pick up bell if possible. he is a decent defender and better at d than anyone else we've had at that postion in a while.

zach randolph can be a problem just like artest. He has had many arrests for many stupid reasons. Except for that, I think hes an excellent offensive player averaging around... 25?
