told you coop all the teams with good teams want to keep their teams...
jazz- keep stockton or malone
dallas- keeps jason kidd
bulls- keep mj or scottie
all teams that want to keep their teams..
wheras teams like the lakers & nuggets will suck...lol...I'm fine with my team, but i think the fairest and best way to do it is for gm's to get random teams. That way no one gets an advantage.. |

| i think everyone should just stick with their current team going into the 90's league....so there won't be much of a hassle....and everyone can protect 1 player from that '95'-'96 team |

Let's just have a vote... lets make a thread, and see who wants to switch and who doesn't.
I understand some teams worked hard for the now... but some teams worked hard for the future, and those teams are not even going to accomplish that, and they were just wasting their time. |

I am 100% behind this move/decision Cooper. Just had to let you know.
Now as for the details (if someone missed it), from reading it all, let me summarize it:
1. Current league and team ROSTERS are finished with after this season/playoffs.
2. New league will take place in the 90s. 1995 or 1996 are years that have been suggested.
3. You get to protect one (1) player from your NEW team. (NOT the team you are playing with now.)
4. A fantasy draft will take place to assemble your team. (snake order/last pick in 1st round, picks first in 2nd round, etc.)\
5. Order in fantasy draft will be random.
If I am mistaken with any of that, feel free to correct it.
Quote:
For teams choosing this is what im going to do.....take 1 day and make a gm draft....ill take everyone who signs up and put your names into the game....and itll choose a totally random order.....1st pick gets to choose what team they are...so on until 29 teams pick
In my opinion, that is the probably the best and fairest way to decide teams.
Just throwing this out there, but maybe for the fantasy draft order we could reverse the Team Selection order? So then the person that gets the last team would have the first pick. This only really makes sense if people are picking the team based on the player they want to protect, and not the actual team itself. Just a suggestion, don't really know if I'm sold on it or not. |

| Why can't we keep the current league, and all its players, but just give rookies lower ratings, lower claims to $50 and $25, and that way everyones work to make a team here doesn't go down the drain.... Just an idea. |

Because we are running out of prospects, every player is too good already, and all the other reasons that Cooper said. Plus starting the league in the mid-90s would be GREAT FUN! |
