Let's say we didn't trade for Kwame and Butler is the Butler of today.
Team A:
C-Bynum
PF-Odom
SF-Butler
SG-Kobe
PG-Fisher
or
Team B
C-Bynum
PF-Gasol
SF-Odom
SG-Kobe
PG-Fisher
AS YOU CAN SEE, KWAME WAS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE
Which team would you take and why? |

Personally, I would rather take Team B by a MILE!
Look at that frontcourt.
Team A is pretty tempting though since it offer Butler's defense, and we needed it in the Finals. |

Very interesting, but I think the twin towers wins it over for me, so I'm going with B

Team A.... not because Its better, because I really like Butler.
He´s tough, he plays tough defense, mentally tough, takes clutch shots and he isn´t afraid of playing team ball....
If I were the GM, Id have traded Lamar instead of Butler, Caron always had that special something... |

I've always been skeptical of Lamar's game, but hindsight is always 20/20. |

And its def team B, Pau is ont of the top 5 PF in the game today and Odom will play a 4th option role WAAAYYYYY better than Butler would play a 3rd option |

| Team B easy, because we know we made it to the finals, and we are only going to get better with the addition of bynum.....team A, we still would have to wonder if they can make it to the finals |

Who was playing small forward? Luke Walton. A very average player. Some average player would have the starting 4. |

Team "B" with Pau any day over team "A". Why? With Pau in the line up we won 84% of our games and were the number one seed in the toughest Western Conf. in the history of the NBA.
Then we breezed through some talented teams like Denver, the Jazz and the defending world champ Spurs. Team. And we did that without Bynum! This team is proven and will only improve.
With Caron Butler we didn't win $***. And I know he blossomed in Washington, but who's to say that he would have in the triangle here in L.A. and I don't think even if he blossomed in L.A. that we would of got top seed and made it to the finals without Bynum. And I am not sure that with a great Caron that we would have grown this much as a team.
All of the Caron stuff is speculation - while we know for a historic fact that we can get to the finals with Pau even without Bynum. Therefore, team "B" for sure. |

I would much rather have a healthy and efficient, which he was in 05-06, Walton at the 3 and Lamar at the 4 then Butler at the 3 and Slava, Cook or a YOUNG Ronny at the 4. Also like they said above, I really don't think Caron would have played well in the triangle |

butler is not the first option in Washington.
About Butler and the triangle, he played the triangle with kobe and LA, he put nice numbers.
heres the part of the article:
"You’ll remember that after Tomjanovich walked out in mid-season, the Lakers struggled so heavily that Kobe actually requested that the team implement the triangle. Yes, Kobe had criticized the triangle even months prior, but had determined it was a viable solution to the Lakers’ problems. They began running the triangle and Caron’s play excelled tremendously at the end of the season."
Just think about this: Butler lead the Wizards to the victory over the celts, 2 consecutive victories to be exact, without Arenas, and no inside game.
Caron over Lamar any day of the week, superior player, tougher, superior awareness, better shooter, better defender and he has the balls to step up. |
