Figured ide make a new post instead of us talking about this in mixed trade review post. I personally think Kaman is a much better center. My reasoning is Defense,Rebounding and team play definitely are more valuable than offense. Both players play good defense and offense but Kaman is definitely a better defender. Also minus all of Kaman's double and triple teams last year he would of for sure averaged 20 ppg easy.Also Bynum many times has begged to go to the bench because he was tired.. after maybe 10 minutes of an up tempo game. What are you're thoughts?

Kaman is a much better overall player. Kaman has the talent and works hard

Bynum has more muscle then Kaman and him being strong and young is what makes him a good player but he has no hustle and still has to prove that he can play more then 35 games. and HE CANNOT last a whole 28 minutes.

I'd pick Kaman over Bynum but we still have to wait to see what Bynum has got left ever since his injury.

Bynum has a better trainer then Kaman but he doesn't have the will power that Kaman does.

As much as i like the way kaman's progressing, i think in a few years, if he heals, bynum can be better. he really has shown flashes of the skills and freakishly athletic ability it takes to be great.

HOWEVER: as much as he has shown his potential, he has really only played a month or 2 of solid basketball. kaman has proven over the past few years that he can ball and he has improved immensely since his rookie season.

also, with all the injuries last year, kaman became our number one option on offense(something he wasnt used to) and had either tim thomas or josh powell or nick fazekas playing power forward next to him. so basically, he wasnt in great shape. as the number one option, and with no other options down low, he was getting 2 or 3 guys thrown at him every time. yet he responded well and put up great numbers.

now bynum? was he the number one option? the 2? he was playing next to kobe and odom, which made him like the 3rd guy. so no double or triple teams for him. not to mention with odom and turiaf he had some help under the basket and didnt have to do all the work like kaman did. i noticed a lot of his shots came when kobe drove to the basket, drew bynums defender, and just dropped the ball into bynums lap for an open dunk or layup.

also, look at it this way: if u put bynum in kamans spot last year, playing alongside ppl like mobley instead of kobe, powell instead of odom, and made him the go to guy on offense, how would he fair? 5 years from now, who knows, but last year im pretty sure hed flop.

Plain and simple:

Timing: even
Offensive skills: Kaman
Defensive skills : Kaman but Bynum has the ability to break even
speed: Kaman
athletic: Kaman.

Kaman is by far the better player. Not even sure why we are comparing them.

You don't think Kaman is better individually than a healthy Mihm?

if mihm gets healthy again...i'd say he's on par with kaman. bynum vs. kaman is like comparing "soulja boy to jay-z" oOooOooOoooO~~ hahahaa

Not anymore, man. Kaman is getting better but not by much. He's still a 15-10 guy. He was a 10-10 guy... Bynum is a 17-13 guy as of now(where he left off)... Mihm was getting 10-10 in 04-05 and Kaman was getting like 9-6.

Mihm will never be the 10-10 guy he was or even close at that.
