I was reading an article and i stumbled upon a paragraph where someone asked Magic who's better, Kobe or MJ. This is Magic's answer:
Quote:
Johnson then answered a few questions from the crowd. He was asked who he thought was better between Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan.
Johnson wasted little time in picking Jordan, who Johnson said was so good that on numerous occasions he "made me look stupid." It was one of many lighthearted moments in Johnson's upbeat speech.

Jordan was one of the few people that beat Magic for a title, who do you think he would pick?
Just because everyone doesn't pick Kobe as being God doesn't make them a hater. lol |

Kobe's the best player in the NBA right now but as of right now he's not even in the same sentence as MJ. Especially coming off the 2004 and 2008 NBA Finals. The Finals is where MJ was special the most. On the biggest stage where everyone is watching. Many fans make excuses for Kobe's performance because of his teammates but to me thats a weak excuse because they were good enough to help get him there and they were good enough in Game 1 and Game 4 to put Kobe in position to be MJ like.
Had he stepped up 2nd half of Game 4 when we were up 20 with 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter we win that game and Game 5 and go up 3-2. There is no way Paul Pierce would get away with asking Doc Rivers to check MJ 2nd half and it actually work. |
