After a disappointing loss to the surprisingly strong Bulls in the second round of the playoffs, the Bucks have cleared their minds and are ready to fight for a chance to play in the NBA Finals. With their young but disciplined stars, their great team chemistry, and their dedication to win, they are arguably a favorite to win it all this year. The Clippers, Blazers, and Raptors might have something to say about that. Anyhow, the Bucks General Manager seemed pretty happy with his team despite the embarrassing loss and didn't make any dramatic changes to the team. Let's breakdown every thing you need to know about the Bucks.
Leaders:
Michael Redd has been with this team through the highs and lows and it is really starting to pay off for him, He is undeniably the leader of this team, and many look up to him for guidance not only on the court, but off. He will tell you what you have done wrong, but he also expects the same in return. He does not lead all by himself though. He has some great assistants in Zach Randolph and Rashard Lewis.
Rashard Lewis has stepped in and become a team player for the Bucks. He has taken Gallinari under his wing and is setting him up to become a successful basketball player in the NBA. Rashard definitely leads by example, and the Bucks success is a result of that.
Zach Randolph does not have a great past, but he has cleared it up since moving to Milwaukee. He has been known not to play defense, but now at least he tries. No one expects Randolph to be a great defender, but his offense definitely makes up for it. I think his willingness to play defense is because of the respective veterans of Redd and Lewis. Randolph, at 28, should be ready to take over this team when his time comes, but right now he makes sure that everyone knows that Redd and Lewis are the true leaders and he is a follower, for now.
Offseason:
The Bucks only made two additions, but they were key additions. They needed a little help defensively in the post and got what they were looking for. They got DeSagana Diop and Drew Gooden via free agency. With Randolph's lack of defense, Diop will provide the enforcing defense he has always carried along with him. Gooden is not the greatest defensively at the power forward position, but he is a skilled rebounder. His rebounding will match any backup power forward in this league. Since the Bucks were already a contender, these signings help sway the odds a little more in their favor.
Young Ones and Role Players:
O.J. Mayo is obviously the most skilled of any of the Bucks young players. He will take over the point, which will be his biggest task in this league so far. Coming into this league, there was doubt he could do it, but he will either prove us right or wrong this year. He has the talent to break out 20 points per game this year, but I would expect around 16. If, O.J. can handle the pressures of the point, this might possibly the most dangerous backcourt in the league.
Danilo Gallinari will be a very useful role player for the Bucks. He should get alot of playing time as a backup, and most likely start in a couple of years. he has been patient and is learning the style of American basketball. He has developed his outside game and plays with great passion of defense. Look for his hustle to be rewarded by playing time. He often motivates Lewis because of his hustle when he comes off the bench. Gallanari is simply to team inspiration.
The Bucks have Raymond Felton, Luther Head, Shelden Williams, and as mentioned before, DeSagana Diop and Drew Gooden. They are consistent and should provide some of the best relief in the game. There will not be too many second teams that can keep up with this group of guys.
Al Harrington, we didn't forget you. You are simply the jokester, so I found it appropriate to pull the joke on you. Al Harrington loosens this team up, not only in the locker room, but also on the court. He is simply a player. He should put up around 14 points and 8 rebounds per night, which isn't bad as a last option. His defense is solid, and he might be the most overlooked player on this squad. He might be the one that decides the close matches, so don't undervalue his presence on this team.
Predictions:
I would predict the Bucks winning anywhere from 50-60 games this year. I think they will either be the top seed or the second. They simply have too many weapons in their starting five, but they also have a very good backup squad. The East will not be strong, as predicted, so winning 60 games this year is not out of the question. I think it is almost a write in the the Bucks and Raptors will meet in the Eastern Conference Finals. Once that time comes, they can battle it out. It might be too close to tell with both having similar ball clubs. The Bucks will continue to improve over last season. One team is not happy right now. That team is the Indiana Pacers!!!

You're gonna get it if the Cavs see this. |

even tho the bucks have a better record..but you know, those those mean anything anyways.
