Thought this poll would be interesting.
Who do you believe is the best player that Phil Jackson has ever coached? Please feel free to leave examples/reasons as to why you chose your pick.
Too soon to tell? |

| This is basically one of those, "Is Kobe better than Jordan" questions. It's too soon to tell. At this point, Jordan. |

| I agree with other posts that right now it would be Jordan, but lets say that the Lakers win four more championships with Kobe before he retires, then it would shift to Kobe. |

| If Kobe wins or more or the same amount of rings as Jordan then I will say Kobe. For now, it is Jordan. Kobe still has a long time left in this league. To me, he is one of those guys that could play until he is 40. |

Jordan, hands down. Kobe is no Jordan. Jordan wouldn't have let us lose in the finals. At the end of PJ's career, I want to see how this ends up. Hopefully this thread is here and everyone is here...
Bynum could be one of the best but Phil won't be coaching him at his prime. |

| LMAO! Bynumite, Jordan was good once the team geled up, before that Jordan was just another good shooting guard and towards his ending career with the Wizards he had a couple of terrible years where actually I felt sorry for the guy. So just because Jordan was there didn't mean that he was a God's send to basketball. |

| Jordan hands down. As clutch as Kobe is he has the habit of having WEIRD games when they are most important. Either he refuses to shoot the ball, he decides to give up by sitting out most of the 3rd quarter in Game 6, he allows his team to lose when they were heavily favored against the pistons. Jordan would never have done any of those things. It's not even close, and it was apparent after these Finals. Just the fact that we are still comparing them is laughable. MJ was a better defender more consistently and genuinely NEVER QUIT and that's why he never had a Finals series lost cuz once he smelled it, he finished it off. I could never imagine MJ having a bad series with a title on the line. He always came through. Kobe ain't no Jordan. I love Kobe and always will, but as far as this argument goes. He comes out in the short end by a mile. |

| Um...Jordan had a little bit more support from his team and half of the teams they played weren't as good as the Celtics. |

| no he didn't dude...i used to let my love for Kobe blind me too. Kobe's had better teams than Jordan. Jordan only had pippen and a bunch of role players. Kobe has had Shaq, Gary Payton, Karl Malone. Grant it Payton and Malone weren't in their primes, but they were better than what Jordan and Pippen had. So that eliminates whatever disadvantage he has had by the competition. The teams the Lakers were winning championships against weren't even as good as the Utah Jazz were those days anyways. Jordan didn't have any WEIRD games. |

| Kobe and the Lakers made them look better than they were. You think Jordan let's his team lose a 24 point lead in a finals game???? |

| there's a reason why zone defenses are hardly ever played...cuz it's weak and can be exposed with basic ball movement almost. Jordan also played in an era where people were allowed to play defense. Nowadays there's too many ticky tack fouls. And what used to be a solid hard foul is now a Flagrant. |

| Pippen, Kukoc, Horace Grant, Rodman and his 15 RPG. I would take that over Shaq George Fox Fisher |

thats true but Jordan would always get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. |
