we don't need more scorer, we need a tough inside player, good rebounder and solid defender....
He'd be another perimeter scorer.... |

| Even if it was Sasha or Megette, I would take Sasha because he can score and he can defend. The only thing that I like about Magette is that he reminds me a lot of pierce on the way he penetrates and he lives on the foul line. He is not afraid to take a hit. We don't have anybody besides Kobe that will drive, but even Kobe has been shying away from driving because of all the hits coming at you. It eventually takes a toll. |

| If this is the choice, then keep Vujacic. He will improve his scoring with more playing time. He can play defense, and Maggette either can not, or decides not to. Vujacic will probably become either a Sixth Man or a starter within a couple of years. |

| It would be great to have a true SF, but Sasha has shown a great deal to me and I have a hard time saying bye to players unless it's Brian Cook. |

As for talent, I'd say Maggette over Sasha/Ronny. How many times have we seen games where we can't turn on the scoring against the other team? Remember earlier this year we lost to the GRIZZLIES after we aquired Pau Gasol. HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU LOSE TO THE GRIZZLIES?! That same week, we also lost to two other soft teams. It seems like when Kobe is having a bad scoring day, then our teammates follow his role. We need somebody who can break that mentality and just go and score, and Magette would help us. Plus, I'm sure he'd want to play some defense since he'd be on a championship-caliber team.
But then again, you can never mistake what Sasha and Ronny bring to the table. If nothing else, it's love and passion for the sport and we do need people like that, because that makes them work harder.
To be perfectly honest, it'd be hard to choose atm. |

I would rather take Sasha and Ronny for sure. Maggette is a nice slasher - get to the foul line scorer, but defense has never been his game. And the outside shot leaves him more then stays with him.
Sasha is developing into a top-notch outside threat. He also seems to pride himself on playing good defense. He seems to have a passion for defense. I love that. He really showed us a lot this year. He was 8th, I believe in three point accuracy - that is awesome. He seems to want the last shot and has shown an ability to hit it. And I only think Sasha will get better with more experience. He had a great taste of being the "man" in clutch situations and went all the way to the finals and played great in every series.
Ronny is a wonderful utility player. Guy gets hurt - Ronny is there to play center or power forward - guy gets in foul trouble - Ronny is a nice backup. He also showed some touch from the outside this year - keep that up Ronny. He was decent at the line and was a very effective shot blocker in the paint.
Keep these guys if you can. But would I cry if we got Maggette - no - just think it would be good to keep Sasha and Ronny. |
