| ^ yeah i was thinking about it but because of mr denvernuggets i wasnt sure if i should put kobe or odom but i think ill do a kobe and odom one and we'll see so ill update later |

Yeah. You know how you have the faded Kobe and Andrew, in the first banner? Well, what if you put those in the second one. Combine them.

yeah i got that heres what i got did a lil adjustments
Kobe faded:
LO faded:
Fisher and LO switched:
LO with his "MJ tongue" lol |

This is concerning LEGAL issues.
I don’t think we can use the laker logo, laker jersey or any of the Laker players in our independent OFFICIAL logo or banner without their consent.
Or can we ? |

Well, I believe we can't use any of the team logos from the NBA. We should just avoid using things like the Laker's trademark "L", the team's font, etc. As long as we do that, we should be fine.
Our members are using their own creativity to create unique graphics. |

we can't use the players either, if that was the case companies would use Kobe's face left and right on their logo's and exploit him to sell their product.
and i don;t see that happening, optimistic7292 you should bring this to dave's attention just in case. |

Forums/fan sites ALWAYS use pictures of their teams. We have a whole gallery full of pics, even. Look around at other sport sites, fan sites, etc. It's all the same.
It's not like we're trying to sell any kind of product here.
Besides, our members are using RANDOM pics from the net (google, yahoo, etc.) and chaning them to create something unique.
Anyways, I'll talk to Dave about this. |

Can you find another laker fan website the is NOT related directly to the Los Angeles Lakers, using kobe or anyone else out their in their official logo.

The logo isn't really a big deal. It's not like we're going out there promoting it. We could easily just take out the pics (if necessary) and leave only the text. We're just simply putting the logo in a place where members can appreciate it.
As for the sites, yes. I can name a fan sites. But, won't name them for promotional purposes. |
