NOTE: GUYS GUYS! BEFORE YOU RUN ALL OVER ME, I'M JUST POSTING WHAT I WAS FORWARDED. I POSTED IT HERE BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW IF IT WAS A RUMOR OR NOT! HOPEFULLY IT IS! HOPEFULLY IT'S NOT LEGIT!
"The Houston Rockets are set to offer restricted free agent guard Sasha Vujacic a five-year contract that could be worth around US$30-million, according to an insider report Monday. The Lakers will have 1 week to match the offer once Vujacic signs the offer sheet."
No offense, but I am not for seeing Sasha with Yao and T-mac, lol |

Where is this from? Do you have a link?
Vujacic was said to be asking for the MLE and if this is from a reliable source, he got it. But I am not believing this until I see a link. |

| This must not happen. It's one thing when one of your favorite player gets traded. Hopefully you can get something in return. But to have one leave on free agency. . . this is maddening. Thirty million is a lot. I like Sasha, but this will be tough to match. Dump Vlad's big contract and resign Sasha. |

| Well, I guess he's more valued in Houston. All he has to do is play pesky Defense and send the guy into Yao. He would be a great backup to T-Mac like he's a great back up to Kobe. We will miss him more than people know if this is true. |

| I think $30mill is too much for Sasha. If that is correct, I say let him go. $30mill is too much to pay for a bench player. |

Quote:
NBA Draft: No Gay-Love for Memphis Grizzlies
NBA fans may never know what they're missing out on. Shortly after he was drafted fifth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies, Kevin Love was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, forever depriving us of the greatest name pairing of all time with Grizzlies guard Rudy Gay.
That's right, we may never see the Gay-Love era in the NBA.

Anybody want to make me an offer to buy the Eiffel Tower? |

There is no evidence that this statement is true. I found the same comment on another blog so the guy is perpetrating a false rumor. You're FIRED!
http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthr ... ?p=2634854
I did find an interesting side note that Sasha takes fashion advice from the Laker Girls.
"Sasha Vujacic , who helped shoot the Lakers back into the NBA Finals, owes a debt of gratitude to Lisa Estrada , longtime director of the Laker Girls, who suggested at midseason that Vujacic make a move to keep his hair out of his eyes. . . . Noticing that Vujacic was forever sweeping his long locks from his face, Estrada says she jokingly scolded him, "Stop fiddling with your hair." . . . She suggested he wear a headband -- "not like a girl headband, but a headband" -- and, at his request, offered several alternatives, among them the black suede hair band the Slovenian has worn the last few months. . . ." |

| The FO and Buss have to bring Sasha back..the Lakers are very close to winning the title..its not time to be pinching pennies or talking about the luxury tax. Its the Lakers not Memphis...no way the rockets should take a guy off our team who we need over money. Go raise Jack's tickets and all the celeb fans tickets for all I care...nobody is taking out the collection plate for the Buss family..its about winning right now..pay Sasha and lets move on. |

In response to BigD's signature... "“I don’t think there will ever be another 6’9” point guard who smiles while he humiliates you.”
Sun Yue is the next chapter in the Chinese NBA contingent. I hear he smiles when he farts and then he humiliates you...and he's 6'-9"! |

LOL Walkin. Well I guess James Worthy will need to recant his statement when Sun Yue farts and then humiliates someone (on the court)
Tell you what, when I see him do it for the first time, I will modify my sig... |

| That's the full MLE. If the rockets are that stupid to overpay that much, let them have him. It's too much money for a role player. He probally starts on the rockette's, but he's still part of our bench mob. Sasha will have to determine if wants a chance to win a ring, stay w/us which equals less money or go to another team and risk starting over again for a couple of million $'s more.....tough choice.... |

| No link no word not even a whisper about this anywhere. I find it hard to believe that with all the media coverage that this would not have been picked up by somebody. Nothing on ESPN CBS Sports...and I dont think we should count a fan on a Spurs forum who found this reliable..sounds made up now. This rumor started early today..somebody would have reported this..they are on every signing or opt out or trade as it happens..seems like a ruse. |

Yes, which is why I'm going to change the title of this thread. Should've done it sooner, actually. |

| Thanks Cuckooroller, But why would we want Landry? He hardly played last season and the three times that he played it was against Utah and averaged around five points per game. Posts like that just do not make any sense to me, it seems like we would be taking a step backwards. |
