    1. A true number two scorer who will get 18-22 pts every night and can create his own offense. Lamar and Pau are both #3 scorers and you just can depend on them every game. The jury is still out on Bynum. Kobe needs help and the finals exposed our weaknesses.
    2. A athletic small forward who can score from everywhere and play some D ala Richard Jefferson or Gerald Wallace. This is our biggest need.
    3. A nasty enforcer who can play D and not allow anyone to freely roam in the paint (especially in the playoffs). Kurt Thomas would be perfect and cheap and I don't care if he is 35. Plus he can bury the 15 ft jumper.
    3. Get rid of Vlad Rad and Luke and even Lamar for the right player in return.
    4. Hungry veteran players willing to take a paycut for a shot at a ring.Antwan Jamison is a Free Agent.
    5. I love D. Fish but he can't finish to save his life. Time for him to come off the bench and allow Farmar to develop.
    5. Resign Sasha and Ronny.
    6. Coaches who look like they give a damn. Other that Phil and B. Shaw they all look like deaf mutes.

    I have a few disagreements.
    1.Pau a #3???
    2.I truly do not believe you can take one series and see everything we did wrong and try to correct it. We beat three very good teams, anf then hit our lowpoint.
    3.Antawn Jamison wil not take a paycut when the Wizards have a decent chance of eventually winning one.
    4.Fish can drive and when he did against the Celtics, it usually resulted in a 3 point play.

    Yes we need an athletic forward, and at first I thought we should trade for one too. Ariza just needs to bulk up and get work on his jumper. We should sign a Kurt Thomas/Desagana Diop/Melvin Ely. If we could get rid of LO and one of the two and get ok contracts in return, fine. The fact is that it totals about 20 mil and no team is going to want two players of that caliber with those contracts packaged together.

    Wow..that has gotta be the most rediculous point i have heard about pau...PAU IS ONE OF THE BEST PF's in this LG, and HE IS A # 2 OPTION....everyone needs TO REALIZE that pau was playing out of position for us this year..HE IS NOT A CENTER..he is a PF and he still played VERY WELL...watch what he brings to the table next year with bynum at center.

    Yeah i agree pau is a #2 scorer. We need a good rebounder off the bench. Like carl landry. Because chris mihm is gonna be our backup center.

    and dont forget, he did have to guard KG at times (a former mvp and a one of the best PF to play the game). And if u do know...when u are really trying to guard one of the best players playing, it does tire u out on you offensive game. He is more of a finese player, but he just gets banged up against stronger guys, such as seeing Perkins smack him around. Once Bynum is back, we will have him play his real position of PF as what DYNASTY101 is saying.
    I just hope if we do not get a good SF during the offseason, we develope Arizas jumpshot so he can be more deadly, he got nice slashin for layups/dunks, and is a hustling lockdown defender (which we needed more of against some of our opposing teams scorers...)

    well nothing much to say but lets just see what occurs for the next few months or even during draft night.
    Hope for the best.

    Famar is already developed off the bench and is ready to be a starter on any team, just we need him for our bench mob because our bench mob does extend our leads when they go into the game.

    I am gonna give Odom ONE more chance in my book. Let see how he plays with Bynum and Gasol, if he still not performing to Laker Status, THEN we ship him off in like December or so.

    i think that farmar may be the 6th man again this coming season and split minutes with fish. and maybe when it gets closer to playoff time, farmar can take on the majority of minutes between him and fish to rest fish for the postseason.

    1. when we played celtics they shutdown kobe, and i agree that neither lamar or gasol could play the #2 scorer.
    2. exactly what i think.. maybe we'll take a look at marion;
    3. maybe even bring kwame back, or sign diop;
    4. i would take a look at tyronn lue for 3rd string..
    5. sasha might want too much money, but ronny is coming back, that's for sure;

    I just think we need a SF that can play D. But then I forget how the Lakers are pretty much disfunctional this year.

    1. With Bynum back, the Lakers will have the Great Wall of China surrounding the paint.
    2. On offense, remember how Bynum got all those allyoops? Think how much easier it will be with Pau in the paint with him.
    3. I too think we need a SF that can play D. But then again, I'm going to put faith in Ariza that he will spend the summer doing whatever he has to do to get better and with 3 months of rest, hopefully he'll show us his bigger and better playing style prior to injury.
    4. Oh, Kobe scoring at will! The excitement. Oh, Kobe lobbing at will...
    5. If Lakers trade for a SF, i'll be okay with that.

    Comon guys. You can pencil in Pau for 20 and 10 every night. It's bullsh^t about KG outplaying Gasol. Pau averaged close to 15 points and 10 rebounds and had a 53% shooting percentage. KG shot closer to 40%. And Pau had to play KG AND the refs for most of the series. This guy led us to the Finals -- without him we probly would be in the Lottery.

    As I said before, I don't wanna hear nobody diss Pau. Period. End of story.

    1: Pau is a good number 2 scorer, if he is aggressive. When Pau first came to the Lakers he looked to score more, as he fit in better he became content with looking to be setup and finding cutters. I think when he was being defended physically he kind of stopped being assertive. We need him to create shots for himself in the post and hopefully this SUmmer he'll reflect on things.
    2. The perfect fit would be a SF who can at least knock down some 3's and drive. I get tire of teams chasing our shooters off the line and then they swing the ball around the perimter instead of a drive and kick.
    3. We don't need a Kurt Thomas with a Bynum in the Paint. Kurt is a positional defensive player and he would be an asset off the bench because of the 15-17 foot shot he has. I wouldn't necessarily call him an enforcer though. He wouldn't have been pushed around though I can admit that.
    4. It would be nice to have some ring chasers who are hungry, but Jamison won't be one of them, I think Kurt thomas is a better answer.
    5. Fish is a jump shooter and he can't finish in traffic too well. Farmar doesn't look to drive, so what are we suppose to do? Farmar needs to stop picking up his dribble also.
    6. If the coaches are laid back that's cool, but at least make adjustments that some of us arm chair fans can see. I think them playing Kobe off the ball more would have helped us offensively.

    exactly baadmaster. how can anyone say 18 - 10 is not a 2nd option?? so many teams would love to have numbers like that as a primary option!! ive read so many posts about bringing in another star or trading pau etc. and it really makes me wonder what some people are thinking. our team has not played together YET!! before we go off the deep end and make decisions based on haste, we really should give this group a chance to work together. our glaring hole is at the 3, but it really doesnt need to be a star (like melo as someome mentioned in another post) a tough hard nosed defender who can hit an open jumper (someone like a battier) but to bring it yet another 'star' who is going to demand the ball?? kobe pau and bynum will be a tough match up for anyone. as far who fills the other spot, be it odom, artest or marion, that role needs to be one of a TOUGH defender.

    i do agree about a vet. post off the bench. a tough kurt thomas type would be a great addition. i love turiaf, but he's not a center and his lack of rebounding really showed against boston, at least from the C spot - maybe from the PF position he would have had a little more success.

    and as far as the coaches go - i am not sure what you expect from your coaches? the role of asst coaches isn't to jump up and down...
