Rad yes but Walton no, until this game he has play incredibly in the playoffs, and besides the horrible play with price he had an ok game. Jackson loves him and he knows hte triangle perfectly, but i guarantee you he is going nowhere |

| I don't blame Kobe for losing the game. The game was lost because the Lakers were not making the free throws PERIOD! |

Like I mentioned in the other thread, these are the reasons why we lost:
1) Kobe. Kobe was playing very well in first 3 quarters. He did end up with 33 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds but we still lost. He tried to do way too much. If he wasn't hurt/injured, then I wouldn't mind if Kobe took over, but he was hurt and he tried to do everything by himself.
2) Fisher being in foul trouble. If Fisher wasn't in foul trouble, then we would of been in better shape throughout the game. He needs to stop fouling.
3) The non-factors of Farmar and Vlad. Both of these players are playing their worst basketball. I don't know what is wrong with them, but they better knock it off.
4) Refs. I hate to blame the refs, but the calls seemed way too uneven. We barely got any calls, and the Jazz got every call their way. But it was expected since the Jazz were the home team.
5) Free Throws. We missed 10 free throws. If we converted on most of them, we would of won the game. |

Will you guys shut the **** up about the refs and rebounding. The game was tied at the end of regulation, and we had missed how many free throws, o yea 11. They are called free for a reason, that is why we lost this game.
Agreed.
And it's hard to blame Kobe for trying to do too much, even when he's hurt. If his teammates and coaching staff felt that he was hurting them more than helping, they would have made adjustments, instead of just dribbling down the court and handing the ball to Kobe and getting out of his way.
But missed free throws are what killed us today.
The Jazz didn't beat the Lakers today, the Lakers beat themselves. |

I agree 100% kundipile
game 5 is a MUST win, if not, it's over
and now I think Lakers will win in 7...I honestly don't believe the Lakers can win in Utah when they're not leading...like everyone says, they need to take the air out of the building at the START of the game. |

Great post. The ref complaining is just stupid. We had a much bigger free throw advantage in Games 1 and 2 than they had in Games 3 and 4. |

Ah, five minutes of poor decision making and the hatred begins.
I am not a Kobe hater. But he did revert to his old form -- at least for one overtime. Think of him as a recovered shotaholic. The "addiction" can resuface anytime and he and the coaching staff have to guard against it. It is not as though he is unaware of the team concept that got him here. But, I see that look in his eyes -- which was largely absent this whole year -- and I know he will take the shot, no matter what.
Rememeber, I am the guy who has over two grand riding on the Lakers. Thus, when we blow a game we easily could have won, with Kobe ignoring his team mates at the end, I get pis*ed.
One observation: wouldn't it be better to go for the winning three than the tying two? It is hard to win in overtime at a place like Utah with their home reffing team and with Kobe less than 100%. I woulda rather Sasha threw one up. You win, you win. You lose, you lose. And you don't have to play an extra fivem minutes aginat seven men -- the Jazz and their ref crew. |

| The biggest problem we have now is that, they have faith. Charles Barkley said at halftime of Game 2 that the Jazz "don't think they can win themselves". They now think they can win. And we are also facing the possibility of a Turiaf suspension. |

Hey guys, i missed most of the game. Could anyone fill me in on Kobe's injury - i.e. when did it happen? how bad was/is it?
I only watched OT, but it def. seemed like Kobe was trying to do too much. |

| i cant blame the refs either they were calling the game for the jazz for 3.25 quarter but at crunch time the lakers got some calls as well. Kobe tried to do too much in the OT his teamates shoulda stepped up cause utah knew he was hurt and were lettin him go 1 on 1. It was a hard fought tough loss that was there for the taking. I am just hoping that kobe is ok and will recover by wednesday or this series is over. |

He hurt his lower back early in the first quarter. He was playing with noticable pain throughout the game. It seemed liked he injured it further on four separate occasions later on.
No official diagnosis as of now. |

This was the most annoying game I could remember in a long time
I'm gonna stop thinkin about it because the more I think about itthe more madder I get
hopefully kobes back is good for game 5 and Kobe has a chip on his back to try to just destroy the jazz by being a team player
and hopefully Kobe shuts up those Utah fans in game six |

| We can't win if only five guys step up. We need more than just Vujacic, Bryant, Gasol , Odom, and Fisher to play well. If Farmar doesn't get his act together we need to run Sasha as the back up point. Radmanovic has been awful, and his body language is depressing. |

I hear you on Radmanovic. I was watching him throughout the game and his body language is just flat with his head and shoulders hanging low. He's just not into it anymore and seems so sluggish out there. I was watching him on defense and it seemed like he was just running in circles like a chicken with it's head cut off. I looked pretty sad. |

yeah Radmanovick.
Getting beat off the dribble by Ohkur, kolver and Kirilenko, he made them look like AI or CP. |
