| i have a feeling that this is going to be the game that is going to determine whether or not we make quick work out of the jazz or drag this series to 7 games. they are going to be super pumped up so we need to come out strong and put them away early in this game. the same way we did to the kings back in the 01 wcsf when kobe said "we wanted to cut their hearts out". put them away early and all of the energy will be drained from utah and their fans. |

I agree with you. We have to put the game early. This game will show us if we can rest early or bring it all the way to a game seven. And I also believe that whoever wins this series will end up in the Finals. So we must win game three and this series.
Go Lakers! |

doesn't hurt to talk about the game now xP
i think we can pull this off, but i worry about kobe. i hope he keeps his composure and trust in his teammates. for some reason, i'm seeing our players getting frazzled in the hostile atmosphere (other than kobe and probably fisher), and they may miss a couple open looks that kobe creates. if that happens, i just hope kobe keeps passing and doesn't get caught up in a one-man game. when kobe can trust his teammates for the entire game, i like our chances.
also, millsap is a heck of a player. jazz fans are all over this guy. it's kinda like the way we fawned over our up and coming players (sasha, farmar, bynum) coming off the bench, they have a lot of faith in millsap. i recall a fan's quote saying that millsap was going to take on our entire bench mob, lol. he wasn't exaggerating, this guy's a legitimate post player with a great future ahead of him. i hope we try putting odom on him; i think he'd do a better job than gasol.
and i really, really hope gasol gets his jumpshot back. it's been MIA for awhile.
if we can keep up our intensity the entire game, i say we win by 8. we'll have the lead and they'll have to play catchup the entire time. if not, it'll be closer, and we might lose by 2-5 points. |

Jon Barry says the Lakers will lose this game, and if I remember correctly, Stephen A. Smith didn't disagree with Barry's statement...
Now, I feel as if the Lakers will win this game by 10 points...it will be like the first two games, only on the road, against the best home team in the NBA...I see Kobe being himself, Gasol & Odom doing their thang, Fisher playing defense & hitting some J's, and I'm not too sure about Radman...Radman seems to be missing in action as of late, but hopefully this will be the game he comes back...my X-Factor for this game is none other than Sasha Vujacic...if The Machine plays good, the Lakers will win the game... |

I expect the Lakers to play there best ball of the year. Remember last series with the Nuggets? WE ripped there hearts out with our defense and they only got to scored about 80 something points...that is super impressive because they were second on points score this whole leauge.........
I expect a close game through the thiird and in the beginning of the 4th, then I see Kobe being kobe in closing out games and ripping the other teams confidence |

Well, this is a game for which we need just a heap of hex-aversion, so I must predict not only disaster, but total devastation!
Tonight, our valiant, but condemned players will file silently into the Bus with their modern-day Leonidas (Kobe) stamping a brave, but strained smile on his face to give courage to their flagging hearts...
As the Bus enters the offramp, our forlorn hopes go with our small army of the hopeless, but pure of heart, as each one peers out of the window and comforts himself by thinking "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil".
Now, the malefic edifice springs out from the devastated and sickly twisted landscape, and the miasmic stench of sulfur permeates the overheated air. To a man, each one wonders if that horribly twisted thing can really be the ES Arena, and not really Barad-dûr, in the land of Mordor. It is surely populated by the Sindarin orcs. Here, the malevolence is palpable... This is certainly the place of abject abomination!
Our players, their hearts quaking as they espy the diabolical placard carelessly hung above the "Condemned Players" locker room, tremblingly read those prophetic words "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here".
Our players know that theirs is an impossible task. They know that it has been 20 years since a Laker success in the playoffs in the purgatory state ruled by Sauron - Utah! They know that the streak of feebly supine playoff annhilation has reached six consecutive losses.
Our Moses (Phil Jackson) knows that it is useless to speak of victory. He limits himself to reciting the following verses:
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when our arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is our quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause
And we know if we'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That our hearts will lie peaceful and calm
When we're laid to our rest
And the world will be better for this
That one team, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with it's last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

1. we need to stop their number of offense rebounds
2. Drive to the basket more and not get carry away with three's
3. Do not turn the ball over
4. Set the game at our tempo
5. Our bench out play their bench (roll player play better at home)
6. Play smart |

| We need to keep Deron Williams from going crazy. Fish said that Deron is the head of that snake and you need to cut the head off. If we can keep Milsapp from playing like he did last game then we should be okay. |

it will take solid D all game long...
controlling rebounds... both offensively and defensively
and ball movement... keep the Jazz on their heels... and find the open man... |

I totally agree with you. We can't get the Jazz going in one of the loudest arenas in the NBA. We can't let them have momentum or else the crowd will go nuts. A major key is getting a lead early in the game and not letting them comeback. The past 2 games, they've came back but that was at Staples. Imagine what would happen if we let them come back at ESA =/ |

| PS. Guys, please don't get mad if we lose this game. No team has gone perfect in the playoffs. Don't start making posts and bashing others.. just a heads up. |
