We better win this, especially with Kobe winning the MVP. The crowd will go wild.
With a 2nd straight victory, we'll be able to take control of this series. It'll put more pressure on the Jazz in their home court, where we are capable of beating them.

Is either we come out with energy and power in the 1st quarter because every Laker fan will be wearing a yellow jersey or we come out flat , with no energy because we are at home and the lakers think the jazz wont play that hard because of kobe's MVP
I believe that the lakers are going to start offf slow, but then they are going to go crazy and play well enough to win this game by 7 or more |

On TV here in Italy at 4:30 AM - so will obviously set the timer and tape it while sleeping. Will probably wait until I get to work to find out if I will be able to see the tape, or flush it down the toilet!
My usual hex-averting prediction of disaster - so far it is working (of course, these predictions of mine are the only reason that the Lakers keep winning  ).
The omnipotent, implacable, steamrolling Jazz machine will attend the Award Ceremony with mounting rage and blood-lust. We will flee before them as terrified rabbits flees the rapacious blood-thirsty Lynx! We are so distracted by the carnival atmosphere of Kobe's award, that we commit a playoff high 34 turnovers. Our deficit of rebounds will be even greater than the first game - 28 more rebounds for the Jazz including 36 offensive rebounds. We shoot only 23% from the field while Utah shoots 62%. Our MVP Kobe finishes with only 9 points. Final Score: 134 Utah - Los Angeles 60, for a new playoff low since the establishment of the 24-second clock. Woe is us! |

| It will be another close game. The Jazz are going to come at the Lakers with full force. Expect Williams to be more aggressive. The Lakers will win, but it will not be easy. Sasha and Rad have to break up the Jazz defense by hitting their three pointers. Kobe will be doubled by AK47 and Brewer. Lamar and Turiaf need to step up their scoring. I say the score will be 112 to 98 Lakers win. |

ah i'm so excited. i really don't want to go to class, but i'm a friggin nerd. hopefully i won't miss too much of the first half. i'll still be sportin my laker gear tho, so cheer extra hard for me.

i know this is no place to put this, but who is better, Andrew Bynum or Chris Kaman, and why?
my friend is always on my a$$ saying that the lakers suck and the clippers are good.. it also seems like he thinks bynums stink/sucks compared to Kaman. so i just want people's thought.. |

You could always create a new thread to start debates.
I would say Kaman is better RIGHT NOW, becuase he's been able to show us more. Once Bynum is healthy though, and he reaches Kaman's age, it won't even be a contest. |

Coaches apparently place a lot of emphasis on PER. As we all know, Bynum really started to play well before he went down, so his efficiency rating was increasing almost by game. Kaman is ranked 17th overall and Bynum 26th (only 9 back).
We all know that stats aren't everything and he is being coached by one of the all time greats and it was starting to show as he gained confidence. But here is the scary part. Bynum has not yet developed any real post moves. (He only played around 50 high school games before being drafted.) Once he learns some post moves, and GOD FORBID, the sky hook, your friend will be eating his words.
If Bynum stays healthy, he will become the best center in the league within two years. He just has great instincts and great soft hands.

| Our "finesse" players had a difficult time boxing out the Utah thugs. Hopefully Gasol, Turiaf and Lamar will find a way to adjust and get those boards. |

the few times that kaman and bynum played this year bynum owned his a**. He is just jealous that his team stinks and is just trying to keep a positive about his sorry team. |
