If you were to believe Jazz fans, the Lakers are luck to be #1 and the Jazz are so close to a championship.

    Quote:
Okay...how can Jazz fans make a case that we can beat the mighty Lakers??

Hmmm....we didn't look real good against the Rockets. But that's okay. We played crappy and beat them, we played well for 3 quarters and blew them out. Fact is, we are a LOT better than the Rox.

I think we'll play well against the Lakes. They'll see some stuff they didn't see in this series: Boozer scoring inside, and making jumpers. Three pointers raining down like the golden showers most Laker fans are so fond of. Millsap demoralizing their scrubs.

And the defensive matchups!!! LOL!!! Who's Radmanovich gonna guard?? Is Vucajic gonna stay with Brewer? Or D-Will? Or even Ronnie Price? Boozer will BREAK Gasol. He'll make him...paut. I just see us scoring against MOST of the Laker's defenders.

So yeah, the Jazz have a lot of reason to think they could score 110+ against the LA-Las.

Q: But...don't the Lakers have good matchups to exploit against the Jazz, too??
    A: Shut up.

    Quote:
Rockets are much better than Lakers even without Yao. They would eliminate Lakers in 5 games too.Lakers will pay for their first round matchup against defenseless Nuggets when they realize How much of defense Jazz learnt from Rockets. They will get shocked and outscored too!Jazz already play better offense.Let's just hope that Jazz will defeat Rockets in Game 6.

Also, they seem to think their stats means they are favored against us.

    jazz in 6.
    Quote:
kobe is gonna choke now that he has won the mvp. AK beat pau in eurobasket and has memo to help him. korver's gonna start hittin 3's and millsap is can tear up the lakers bench. -roll one for the jazz-

yea, they have their opinions, but that's what makes it fun. If their fans didn't support their team, it would be a pretty dull series. That is what makes the playoffs. Hopefully, the lakers show up tomorrow, and let their game do the talking for them. I don't think they will be too rusty, and let their guard down. They've learned those lessons in years past.

I feel bad that they are going to have to eat there own words. I think they're getting us confused with the LA Clippers.... After game 1 they will realize we are the LA Lakers!!! Also they think they are going to rain three's on us??? They better hope that only half of our 3pt. shooters go off on them. We've got Fisher, Sasha, Vlad Rad, Farmar, Kobe and if he continues his great playing, LUUUUUKe!!!

Their opinions. But when I look at the Head Coach match-up, who's better?

A coach with 9 rings as a coach or another one who hasn't won a single one?

Do not forget that Jazz's coach, Jerry Sloan, lost to Chicago Bulls in the two consecutive years they got to the finals about 10 years ago.

Oh, who was the Bull's coach? Phil Jackson :p

Phil Jackson alone owns the Jazz.

What more with Kobe and the rest of the crew?

Reality check, they could.. We aren't such a great defensive team, you know? We give up, I think, 101 points.

Denver hovered around 108 points a game. Utah is better offensivley, we have to step up our D.

I hear you I'm just being optimistic
but realisticly we can play good D in spurts and there is no reason to beleive we can't get it going for a full game especially against our longtime rivals Utah Kobe and Fisher haven't forgotten the past

I know. And I agree with you, too. Kobe and Fish' we'll be key to this series. Plus, if we play good D not in spurts but consistently, then we can hold them atleast to 95 points a game.

    Some quotes

    Quote:

Cmon you guyyyyssss....play some defenseee!!! we gave up too many easy baskets!!!

    Quote:
our bench sucks, we keep missing free throws, kobe is owning us...hopefully we can turn it around...and why is vujajic better than korver?

    Quote:

Jazz turns need to stop. Lakers are scoring off of them every F#$%CkING TIME!!!

    Quote:

they are double and triple teaming [Boozer], he cant get int he paint. it doesnt help that when he passes out, were missing jumpers

    Quote:
Jazz couldnt beat East High right now, Lakers arent doing anything special.

    Quote:

How are NBA players dumb enough to keep launching contested jumpers when they haven't made one all night? TAKE THE BALL INSIDE.

You guys realize if Lakers weren't rusty we'd be down by 30 right? How many wide open jumpers have Farmer, Fish, Radmanovic and Odom missed?

Anyway, this team is a joke. If we don't miraculously come back and win 2 games in this series there needs to be serious changes in the offseason. AVERY JOHNSON...

    Quote:

D-Will can't take over. The guy isn't a superstar, just a good point guard... His jumper is on once in a while, not tonight, he's getting blocked on any layup attempt and is showing what I feared all season...He still can't be counted on in playoffs. At least he's better than Boozer.

    Quote:
    Matt plz stop shooting

    Quote:
harpring is ruining this run get him out of there!

    Quote:
This game was right there for the taking but the Jazz have to play better if they are going to beat the Lakers and the refs.

    Quote:
    Reasons why the Jazz lost:

Too many turnovers in the first half - 7 Boozer turnovers
Poor Bench play - Harp really needed to sit down. He was horrible. Milsap and Korver were not much better. Dunk the ball Milsap and KK can you make more than one jumpshot. Ronnie Price was lost.
4-19 3 pts - CJ made two of them.
Poor shooting - 38% for the game
16 more free throws attempted - Phil Jackson has the nerve to whine about fouls after three quarters with his team shooting 9 more free throws at that point.

Jazz stars had below average game. The Jazz need every one to play well but when Boozer and DW don't get it done then the Jazz can't beat the Lakers.

    Quote:
harpring is ruining this run get him out of there!

    Quote:
The good: Utah didn't die and that shows me they may be up to giving LA everything they have.

The bad: They still lost. No spin can change the fact Utah is 0-1.

Did they really say Millsap was going to destroy the Lakers bench by himself...are the Jazz fans crazy...??? I guess they don't seem to realize, the Lakers have the best bench in the entire NBA, and it takes 5 to stop them, not one...
