| If they win the Championship this year, all the teams who got older to compete this year will second guess their trade decisions. because they know the laker are only getting better. |

| So true. Each team will know that this is their best opportunity to win. Boston, Phoenix and Dallas are getting older and next year they might be a bit too old. Meanwhile, the Lakers are still one of the youngest teams in the league and I still fins it hard to believe that Kobe is only 29 years old! Bynum is only 20!! Imagine how good this guy will be when he is Howard's age! Farmar is still young and so is the rest of our bench. If we win it this year, then I can see us going for another three peat. |

| Yes, but that only means that we'll be competing with the likes of the Hornets and the Jazz in the near future, with the Rockets, Blazers, and possibly the Kings trailing in the 2nd tier. |

| San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, and Boston are all on the brink of having to rebuild. They will be devastated When they see another Dynasty for L.A. |

Don't forget about the "Seattle" Super Sonics. Don't they have like six first round picks coming over the next few years? |

| Even if the Lakers only make it to the 2nd round or WCF, teams will know that the Lakers aren't going to be a team to reckon with...they already know that, and when Bynum & Ariza come back, oh it's on like donkey kong...I'm feeling a 72-10 record, or better, next year...but first, let's see how far the Lakers can go this year, with or without Bynum & Ariza... |

dont you mean WHEN we win the chamionship.
but i do agree with what your saying, i think the suns are in the most trouble because all of their old players wont be able to keep up with the run n gun style that they use.
I am very worried about the blazers, we struggle to beat them without oden, imagine them with him, and their young players will be more experienced. Oh well we'll beat them any ways.

| I'm tired of the same ol teems in the playoffs, I welcome the blazers and the sonics. I just want to see the Celtics hopes go down the drain. |

| The team in the biggest trouble are the Spurs...first of all, they are the oldest team in the league, and second, their two best players are 30+ years old...Parker seems to be their only young good player...now, the Suns atleast have Amare Stoudemire & Barbosa to rely on once their other stars retire...so you decide, Amare or Parker...umm, well that's pretty easy, Amare...but no matter what, the Lakers have the biggest upside...first of all, their bench is very good, and young, and Bynum is going to be a beast, offensively & defensively...the Blazers are the next closest team to having a future dynasty...but that's beside the point... |

| I think that the Blazers have the best upside. Oden is only 20 and Roy is only 23. Whether we as Laker fans want to admit or not, our star is going to be 30 in 4 short months. If Bynum becomes a superstar, then Kobe can play second fiddle to him until his career is over, but if Bynum doesn't become a superstar, we probably need to invest in younger talent. |

Well said. and I think the Blazer are looking good in the near future. Maybe sooner than we think |

| Lakers ,Hornets and Blazers will be the powerhouses in the west. I don't know who from the east other than the Magic that will likely dominate for years. |

Uhmm this thread is kind of pointless. It's like saying "if the clouds are gone you will see the sun during the day." If any team.. not just the Lakers, wins it all then the teams who got older and didn't win will second guess their decisions.
BTW the sky is blue |

BTW the sky is blue
are you sure about the color? right before first station break of game1, heard an audio saying, "All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey.............". <lol> just thought that verse set a tone for great things to come. |

| If they win it all this year it will be a very happy moment for me. If they don't, it's ok also because next year is going to be unreal. |

Last time I counted the Sonics had acquired 7 first round draft picks. And good thing the Mavs traded Devin Harris, cuz he wouldn't be useful in guarding CP3 |

I know =( But I miss all of the quality posters we used to have here at LTB. I don't even create threads because of the dumb replies I get back. No point starting a conversation with people who cannot converse(or should I say conversate for you Biggie lovers out there ;] .) |
